  1. For anyone experiencing the same issue with WD MyBooks, get a PC/VM up, download their software to manage these drives and in there you can disable/enable the spin down delay. It seems to override what is configured in Unraid.
  2. Thanks for the answer, sound logical. Problem is, I sadly can't use anything else except 2.5 inch HDDs or external 3.5 ones. Think I'm just gonna need to live with it.
  3. Hey, basically I'm having the problem, that my disks don't spin down. They do, if I start the array and spin them down after 1 min. But if I start the array, connect via my mac to one of the shares, disconnect from the share, then wait a couple of minutes, the drives wont spin down. If I press the spin down array button, the animation starts but nothing happens and the drives keep running. But only after I've connected and disconnected from my mac. Setup: - Unraid 6.11.5 virtualized inside Proxmox - 2 USB ports passed through, which are both connected to a WD MyBook Things I've tried/checked: Turned off Docker/VM Tried restarting the Unraid instance Checked Open Files plugin (has no open files/connections) Checked SMB connections with a plugin (can't remember the name anymore since I uninstalled it for testing) lsof | grep mnt returns nothing Uninstalled every plugin (except Community Applications) Disabled Mac interoperability Disabled WSD (read that somewhere) The drives also have no activity over hours and still wouldn't spin down. Have anyone ever had this problem? Maybe it's mac related, but I wouldn't understand how, since there are no connections/activity anywhere. tower-diagnostics-20230103-1142.zip
