  1. So, I just purchased a system with an Intel Xeon W-1370P processor, which has a P750 iGPU (Rocket Lake), and is also listed as an 11th gen supporting GVT-g, as shown in the picture earlier in the thread. I tried installing the plug-in, and it doesn't say it's not supported, but it's not picking up the i915.conf, which I added the 'blacklist i915' line. SR-IOV flatly tells me not supported. Is there anything else I could try? I just purchased this system after having issues with my other build constantly freezing from the i915 module, shown in the thread below, and not being able to resolve it, and just want to be able to transcode plex and have the igpu for my VM.
  2. No, the TV isn't always switched on, but CEC is turned on in the TV, so I believe there is still signal sent. However, I swapped out the HDMI cable for dummy plugs in both HDMI ports, still reboots. Unpinned CPU-0 for both VM and Plex, still reboots. Removed hardware decoding from Plex completely, (---/dev/dri), still reboots. At this point, I ordered new ram and a new power brick. The system pulls 50-60 watts at full tilt, and power brick is rated for 95W, but is also 5 years old and had been on constantly prior to installing Unraid. Lately, it's been rebooting pretty much every time I use plex, either right away, or after an episode or two. I've had it reboot on me 4 times in one day! Curious note, couple of days ago, instead of freezing as it normally does, requiring me to shut it off remotely with a smart plug and starting it back up, the server rebooted itself, going back into Unraid. It was still an unclean reboot, since it started a parity check, but that was new. Happeend twice, then back to the usual freezing and requiring manual restart. syslog
  3. The way I migrated from linuxserver to official plex was to first backup my appdata, then edit my linuxserver Plex docker image. Under repository, I changed the value to plexinc/pms-docker:latest, then hit done. It redownloaded everything from plex official, but all my settings and paths I setup under linuxserver remained the same, and Plex started with no issues. However, I'm still crashing repeatedly under Plex transcoding. I've tried disabling HDR Tone mapping, removing GPU Top and statistics, changing appdata to cache, and touching the i915 file. I just ordered dummy plugs (I have a TV plugged into my server, Qnap TS-453Be, Intel J3455), but only 1 of the 2 hdmi ports are plugged in, so I'll try plugging in the other one. If that fails, I'll try disabling vt-x, then all else fails I'll install 6.8.3. Since this is a fresh install of Unraid, can I just download 6.8.3 and copy it over to the flash drive? Or is there other steps I need to take? The main reason for this box is Plex and file serving, and after a month and a half of troubleshooting, I'm about to give up. Any thoughts? I posted a standalone thread previously, and that just withered and died without any responses. I'd appreciate any help. I've included diagnostics and logs, though the logs just fall off a cliff when rebooting without any indicators babybertha-diagnostics-20230314-1219.zip syslog (2)
  4. Hi all, I am currently building my 2nd Unraid server, in order to save on energy costs. Currently, I am running: Dell Precision T7500 Dual L5640, 48GB ram, GTX 1050Ti (Plex), RTX 2060 (VM) And looking to move to: Qnap TS-453Be, 16GB ram. (7th gen Intel Celeron J3455) Previously, the Qnap has been rock solid, easily running 180 days uptime on stock software before stopping to do a system update. However, as time went on, I found the system to get more and more sluggish, and basically ran into issues with anything other than just simple file serving and pihole. Also, when I decided to shrink my Plex volume in order to add more space to another share, it decided to corrupt the entirety of my plex volume, so there’s that. I purchased 4 x Seagate Exos X16 ST12000NM001G 12TB refurbished drives, to upgrade and increase storage from the previous 4 x 8 WD reds I shucked from Best buy. 3 of the 4 passed preclear, but one didn’t. After RMAing and replacing the drive, all 4 drives are good. Also purchased a PCi-e x4 m.2 adapter for a 1TB NVME cache drive. Issues I’m running into: my server will randomly reboot, under load or not. Previously I thought it was an issue with Docker network type, so I switched that to ipvlan. That seemed to do the trick for a few days, but then the reboots started happening again. I noticed that when the server dies, there is no longer any network presence from the NAS, but if I turn on the monitor it’s attached to, it shows the usual command prompt for root login, but doesn’t register keystrokes. Server power usage also goes from 50-55w to 25-30w when this happens. Fix Common Problems finds an issue with machine check log, but that is just an issue with unidentified cpu (Intel Celeron J3455). I also cannot install mcelog since Nerdpack is depreciated, I believe. Each has it’s own assigned IP address, but I’ve read here and there that Unraid servers should be on separate subnets. Neither server is doing any DHCP or network duties, aside from running pihole. Any help would be appreciated. Edit: attached syslog from remote server. babybertha-diagnostics-20230218-1342.zip syslog-10.0.1.23.log
  5. Went into Settings -> VFIO-PCI Config, unchecked the bind for the 2060, and was able to assign it to the handbrake docker and run successfully. If i stop the docker, then the VM with the 2060 attached booted without issue, which was what I was looking for. Thanks for your help!
  6. Thanks Saarg, you are correct. How do I fix this? And if I make any changes, will it affect the VM I have it passed through to? I would shut off the VM when using the GPU for Handbrake Docker encoding, and vice versa.
  7. Hoping for some help here, I have a Dell T7500 running Nvidia UnRaid Build 6.83 with a GTX 1050ti and RTX 2060 installed. Both are working for VM's and am able to use the 1050 for Plex for when i'm not using that specific VM. I was looking to passthrough the RTX 2060 as a device for Handbrake, and noticed that it is not listed under the UnRaid Nvidia Plug-in. Using watch-nvidia query, only shows the 1050ti as well It does show up under system devices, and again can pass it through to a Windows 10 VM. I don't believe the card is stubbed (watched SpaceInvader's guide to setting up the VM, and I don't recall editing the config file on the usb.) Any help would be appreciated!
