    I've got my server up and running. I have a 9900k and I've got the IGPU enabled in the bios, and the server is plugged directly into my TV and I have a video signal. HW transcoding is enabled in plex, I have a plexpass, but some reason I do not see the directory: cd /dev/dri It tells me it doesn't exist. Any suggestions?

    Just got server up tonight and I'm coming from Freenas. I keep asking myself, why did I wait so long..LOL! Great information in this thread! Awesome instructions as well! I have noob question, I currently have my transcoding going to RAM (32GB) on my server, and I have a fair share of users who can direct stream almost all of my content. Question, which would be better using my i9-9900k via quicksync or keep transcoding to RAM? Any issues with having both enabled?

    I'm currently getting 4 plex streams (720p) with a i3-3225 and 16GBs of RAM with a passmark score of 4339 on a gigabit network...However this peg's my CPU at 100%. I'm currently on FreeNAS and I'm definitely making the switch....I'm going with a AMD processor that's rated at almost 9K.

    Hello Everyone! Truly sorry for the potentially redundant question from a certified Noob! So, I've just setup my custom built NAS and all is well in the BIOS. Do not have an OS....do I need mobo drivers in order for FreeNAS to function? Thanks!

    Hello, Thank you for taking the time to read this...I'm looking at building my own unraid box and I have a data migration queston. I have a existing 3TB drive that's almost full. And I have 2 more 3TB drives that are empty. Will I be able to create one large 9TB volume without loosing exisiting data using unRAID?
