  1. Thanks for sorting fping (although it still doesn't seem to be working for me).

    e.g. fping −g 192.168.0.1 192.168.0.254

−g: Name or service not known

Is it possible for me to compile exa to use here?

Maybe. I'm not sure how to compile a rust app. You'd need to download the slackbuild first and all the source. You may just need rust and all its depends and you may need my DevPack plugin and install everything from there.

I don't do this on my main server. I use an unraid vm.

  2. I get this if I try to uninstall other plugins as a test:

    image.png.a02faa62dfd8e59529f7fba42bec8e17.png
However rebooting seems to have fixed it so thanks for your help.

Unfortunately though when you added lolcat it seems to be missing some dependencies:
     root@fs  🖿  ~ ▓▒░ lolcat                                                                                           ░▒▓ [emoji818]  10.01  3%  15:11 [emoji790]  /usr/lib64/ruby/2.2.0/rubygems/dependency.rb:315:in `to_specs': Could not find 'paint' (~> 2.0.0) among 10 total gem(s) (Gem::LoadError)Checked in 'GEM_PATH=/root/.gem/ruby/2.2.0:/usr/lib64/ruby/gems/2.2.0', execute `gem env` for more information        from /usr/lib64/ruby/2.2.0/rubygems/specification.rb:1311:in `block in activate_dependencies'        from /usr/lib64/ruby/2.2.0/rubygems/specification.rb:1300:in `each'        from /usr/lib64/ruby/2.2.0/rubygems/specification.rb:1300:in `activate_dependencies'        from /usr/lib64/ruby/2.2.0/rubygems/specification.rb:1282:in `activate'        from /usr/lib64/ruby/2.2.0/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_gem.rb:67:in `block in gem'        from /usr/lib64/ruby/2.2.0/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_gem.rb:66:in `synchronize'        from /usr/lib64/ruby/2.2.0/rubygems/core_ext/kernel_gem.rb:66:in `gem'        from /usr/bin/lolcat:22:in `'

That might be why I didn't add it before. You probably need ruby and a bunch of other packages
  3. Both still missing?
    Added
And, in addition, I have several packages that did not install last time I "applied" and it hangs on a white screen when I try again:

    image.png.e2d35b463ed6a50934fa1d2729777eef.png
I'm not sure. I would uninstall the plugin and delete the Nerdpack directory on the flash drive at config/plugins/NerdPack. Then reinstall. If it happens again let me know which apps you're installing. Maybe something with the name or version of the app is throwing things off.
  4. How come the byobu version is v2.82 from 2010?
The latest released version is v5.133 from 17 Feb 2020.
What Brit said. I also don't go through and check the source for newer versions of most of these apps unless someone requests. I will check the official slackware repo on occasion. For byobu the slackbuild script doesn't work with the newer version of the source code and I don't have time right now to rewrite it.

  5. Okay so I've been playing about with this and can't get it to work. It won't let you set 200 but even if you try 300 for all the settings, the fans instantly spin up to max speed. If you go to the Supermicro IPMI web gui you can see that Configuration > Fan Mode has been changed to "Full Speed" instead of "Optimal Speed". I then tried tons of other permutations of threshold values.

    image.png.d702110db52afc1b4a32886c52932ea4.png

Does anyone have working settings for Supermicro boards? I've read tons of threads about how to set the thresholds and precisely what these four settings mean and nothing seems to work for this particular board.

The fan control script automatically set the fans to full speed when the script is initialized. This is so the bmc and script aren't competing and in case of script failure, your hard drives or cpu don't melt. The thresholds may also work in 150 RPM increments depending on board. You also need to set the fan min to a percentage that keeps the fan above that threshold. Monitor your rpms and try and set what they are at before full speed
  6. This won't even install on the latest unraid version (6.8.3)  I get Warning: mkdir(): Read-only file system in /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/dynamix.plugin.manager/scripts/plugin on line 268
plugin: plugin: error: unable to create parent directory for /boot/config/plugins/libvirtwol/libvirt-python-env-4.10.0-x86_64-1.txz

Other plugins seem to install and work ok, does this need to be updated to work
Are you logged in as root? Seems like a permissions problem on your end. Not sure. I removed it and reinstalled it just fine
  7. Would it be possible to update the version of LFTP in nerpack? The 4.8.4 version has a couple of showstopper bugs that are driving me nuts.

    This one works great:

    http://slackware.cs.utah.edu/pub/slackware/slackware64-current/slackware64/n/lftp-4.9.1-x86_64-1.txz

    I've been running:
    upgradepkg --install-new lftp-4.9.1-x86_64-1.txz

To get it installed after each boot, but obviously nerd pack is the way to go.

    Updated it
  8. Hey everyone,

I'm running Unraid 6.8.3 and just updated NUT to 2020.03.17. I no longer see the UPS status info on the top of the Dashboard page. It is still available from Settings>NUT Setting page though. Is the change on the Dashboard page expected?
    Thanks!
Thanks to gfjardim, he added it to the Server part of the dashboard under Power. He also added the footer display

  9. Full output below, it's still saying 2.7.4.

AFAIK that's the latest version of NUT (outside of Git / dev).

If you look right above that line it says skipping because it's already install. While I do have a newer version compiled I forgot to include it. It didn't include many changes. The latest for the plugin is 2.7.4.20181125. It is based on the libusb compatibile branch.
  10. Hello,

Im trying to configure NUT to connect to my Networked Eaton 5P 850 using SNMP. But when i configure it and try to start the service i see this:

Writing nut configUpdating permissions...Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.7.4.1/usr/libexec/nut/snmp-ups: error while loading shared libraries: libcrypto.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directoryDriver failed to start (exit status=127)

    Any idea?

    What version of Unraid?

  11. Normally, you are able to click into the plugins to config the plugins from the tab but when libffi is updated, you are unable click on the icons anymore. Also, all the Authors show as "anonymous" and the versions for all the plugins show as "unknown". I do have libffi  turned on in nerdpack but it gets reverted back to an older version on reboot. I would then need to update it through nerdpack and then run pip3 install docker-compose. Is it possible the plugins require an older version of libffi as a dependency?

Libffi was added because unraid comes with an older version that doesn't work with newer version of python3. Unless your Nerdpack libffi is corrupt I don't see why it wouldn't install on start if it's checked. Mine does. Also I don't have a problem with the plugin ui. I use Azure. Tried default theme also. Even uninstalled libffi. Still no problem with ui. Tried on Chrome and Firefox
  12. So I read the caveats. I just don't understand the discrepancies between the plug-in and the ookla-made speedtestcli if we're using the same underlying speedtest app:

    Plug-in: https://www.speedtest.net/result/9226065642.png
    ookla-cli: https://www.speedtest.net/result/c/8ebbf6e7-5460-46ff-81d2-fa476a046dae

unless we're not, in which case...anyhow. Yeah. Awesome plug-in either way.
The plugin uses speedtest-cli, a python script from sivel on github and ookla is official speedtest app. So completely different. Just haven't had time to finish converting plugin to ookla
  13. Thanks for this tool. I can't find docker-compose on my nerd tools. Am I crazy? What am I missing?

    Thanks
A few posts back discuss the decision to remove it. Any python package that doesn't need compiling can be installed with pip and setuptools.

  14. I can't seem to get Perl installed via the Nerd Pack. I am running a clean 6.8.3 install. Installed Nerd Pack via both the Community Plugins and direct install, but gives the same result: in the pop-up after applying Nerd Pack settings it says it's installing Perl 5.30.1 but when the settings page refreshes it shows Perl as downloaded but not insrtalled. Other tools install just fine.
How can I troubleshoot this? Thanks!
Sounds like maybe a bad download although the plugin should delete a package whose checksum doesn't match. I just updated perl so see if you can update it. If that doesn't work, go to /boot/config/plugins/NerdPack/packages/6.8 and delete any perl packages. Then try installing it.
  15. I will also add I was able to get docker-compose installed with the following:
    pip3 install docker-compose

But I have no idea how unraid stores these nor if it will persist between reboots.
Also, I still cant seem to uninstall python-2.7.17-x86_64-2.txz from within the Nerd Pack.

You'll need to have python3, setuptools and pip checked to install and possibly libffi. Then have the "pip3 install docker-compose" either in the go file or use the plugin user scripts and place the command in a user script to run at boot.
