Should I let the parity check run or cancel? I know sometimes if the Unraid server has a power failure or some kind of crash parity will automatically start after reboot. But this did not happen.

Something weird happen, I shutdown ( to take the failed 14TB drive that was unassign status) that looked to be a clean shutdown. But I got a message shutdown was not clean. I had to start the array manually. Then unraid started to do a parity check. I have the parity on pause right now. Just wondering what happen? thecave-diagnostics-20260119-1520.zip

Drive rebuild finished. So far good... Just notice a popup warning, Disappeared before i could read it closely. thecave-diagnostics-20260119-0818.zip

Looks OK so far. Yes will have to look at Disk 7 ASAP. Yes. My Docker/VM is a little short from a nightmare. Very early stages of me and Uraid, taking bit of knowledge here and there ; then going on my own.

Okay I am going to stop the array, then assign 16TB drive. Next start the array .

Next step would be to assign the new 16TB drive to Disk2, right?

The start option is not active now.

"To unassign disk2, you choose the "not assigned" selection from the dropdown." Dropdown did not have "not assigned" Would no device be suffice?

Will start array now. Just stating ' no device" was listed and "unassigned" was not listed, is normal, right

Okay. Starting the steps. Stop array and unassigned disk 2.

Just waiting for me to make sure I do these steps correctly: "Stop the array, unassign disk2, start the array in Normal mode. This will disable disk2." Any steps outline would be appreciated. I just donot want to do the wrong thing at this point..
