Hello,
my server setup contains 2 unraid server:
IOT/Downloads (6.9.1, 1 disk)
Plex/Media Hosting (6.8.3, online since 147 days, trial version, 7 disks, sorry for still using the trial )
The media folder of the Plex-Server is mounted as a remote share (nfs) via web gui on the iot-server.
As you see, I upgraded the IOT Server to 6.9.1 (from 6.8.3) and since then I got problems with remote shares. It becomes stale after a random time. With 6.8.3 I never got problems with that. Now I have to remount it everytime when I want to write something to the share. When I try to open the share-folder in web gui (in stale situation), it shows "No listing: too many files" - but I don't think that I reached any file-count thresholds just in the moment when I upgraded to 6.9.1. The share is reachable from other machine without any problems. So it has to be an issue on the iot-unraid-server.
I tried different things:
mounting as SMB share,
setting NFS Tunable to 0 on Plex-Server
different caching settings on both servers
but nothing helped so far. I'm using a tool for moving files automatically to the media server - when it's moving files, I see error messages just like following in iot-server log:
Mar 26 11:38:58 iotexperte kernel: NFS: server 192.168.2.100 error: fileid changed
Mar 26 11:38:58 iotexperte kernel: fsid 0:96: expected fileid 0x2800000032beb8, got 0x901000000000084
but it doesnt interrupt the moving process and files are still moved correctly after that. Sometime later the share becomes stale. There a now error messages in media-server log.
In syslog following lines indicating when I'm manually remounting the network share with web gui.
Removing Remote SMB/NFS share
I attached both server diagnostics files to this post.
Iotexperter = IOT/Download-Server / 192.168.2.52
Medienexperte = Plex/Media-Server / 192.168.2.100
Thanks in advance for any help,
regards
Tobi
