Are my hard drives dead?
Hi all, Not being very knowledgeable in hard drive SMART errors, I've got a drive thats disabled in my array. I cant remember why its disabled, (My server has been at my folks place for 2 years), but I had in my head that it was toast, along with 2 other drives that are on the way out. I bought 3x new 18TB drives to replace the lot, but thought i'd better check with the experts first. Maybe I can keep using the drives? Here is the result from the 16TB Seagate Skyhawk drive: ID# ATTRIBUTE_NAME FLAGS VALUE WORST THRESH FAIL RAW_VALUE 1 Raw_Read_Error_Rate POSR-- 074 064 044 - 23503340 3 Spin_Up_Time PO---- 089 087 000 - 0 4 Start_Stop_Count -O--CK 100 100 020 - 58 5 Reallocated_Sector_Ct PO--CK 100 100 010 - 0 7 Seek_Error_Rate POSR-- 085 060 045 - 351697479 9 Power_On_Hours -O--CK 071 071 000 - 25645 10 Spin_Retry_Count PO--C- 100 100 097 - 0 12 Power_Cycle_Count -O--CK 100 100 020 - 57 18 Unknown_Attribute PO-R-- 100 100 050 - 0 187 Reported_Uncorrect -O--CK 100 100 000 - 0 188 Command_Timeout -O--CK 100 100 000 - 0 190 Airflow_Temperature_Cel -O---K 052 043 000 - 48 (Min/Max 41/48) 192 Power-Off_Retract_Count -O--CK 100 100 000 - 14 193 Load_Cycle_Count -O--CK 075 075 000 - 50874 194 Temperature_Celsius -O---K 048 057 000 - 48 (0 18 0 0 0) 197 Current_Pending_Sector -O--C- 100 100 000 - 0 198 Offline_Uncorrectable ----C- 100 100 000 - 0 199 UDMA_CRC_Error_Count -OSRCK 200 200 000 - 0 200 Multi_Zone_Error_Rate PO---K 100 100 001 - 0 240 Head_Flying_Hours ------ 100 253 000 - 2423 (177 191 0) 241 Total_LBAs_Written ------ 100 253 000 - 94341378888 242 Total_LBAs_Read ------ 100 253 000 - 2706521734755 And here is the two 8Tb Seagate Ironwolf Drives: ID# ATTRIBUTE_NAME FLAGS VALUE WORST THRESH FAIL RAW_VALUE 1 Raw_Read_Error_Rate POSR-- 084 064 044 - 234371120 3 Spin_Up_Time PO---- 082 081 000 - 0 4 Start_Stop_Count -O--CK 100 100 020 - 775 5 Reallocated_Sector_Ct PO--CK 100 100 010 - 40 7 Seek_Error_Rate POSR-- 084 060 045 - 9133375545 9 Power_On_Hours -O--CK 046 046 000 - 47784 10 Spin_Retry_Count PO--C- 100 100 097 - 0 12 Power_Cycle_Count -O--CK 100 100 020 - 294 18 Head_Health PO-R-- 100 100 050 - 0 187 Reported_Uncorrect -O--CK 094 094 000 - 6 188 Command_Timeout -O--CK 100 099 000 - 253406937147 190 Airflow_Temperature_Cel -O---K 052 040 040 Past 48 (Min/Max 40/50) 192 Power-Off_Retract_Count -O--CK 100 100 000 - 58 193 Load_Cycle_Count -O--CK 021 021 000 - 158364 194 Temperature_Celsius -O---K 048 060 000 - 48 (0 18 0 0 0) 195 Hardware_ECC_Recovered -O-RC- 084 064 000 - 234371120 197 Current_Pending_Sector -O--C- 100 100 000 - 0 198 Offline_Uncorrectable ----C- 100 100 000 - 0 199 UDMA_CRC_Error_Count -OSRCK 200 200 000 - 0 240 Head_Flying_Hours ------ 100 253 000 - 10804h+28m+51.500s 241 Total_LBAs_Written ------ 100 253 000 - 75735391825 242 Total_LBAs_Read ------ 100 253 000 - 1289797653196 ID# ATTRIBUTE_NAME FLAGS VALUE WORST THRESH FAIL RAW_VALUE 1 Raw_Read_Error_Rate POSR-- 083 064 044 - 198210872 3 Spin_Up_Time PO---- 082 081 000 - 0 4 Start_Stop_Count -O--CK 100 100 020 - 770 5 Reallocated_Sector_Ct PO--CK 100 100 010 - 872 7 Seek_Error_Rate POSR-- 090 060 045 - 5212030266 9 Power_On_Hours -O--CK 046 046 000 - 47784 10 Spin_Retry_Count PO--C- 100 100 097 - 0 12 Power_Cycle_Count -O--CK 100 100 020 - 294 18 Head_Health PO-R-- 100 100 050 - 0 187 Reported_Uncorrect -O--CK 088 088 000 - 12 188 Command_Timeout -O--CK 100 096 000 - 279177199682 190 Airflow_Temperature_Cel -O---K 053 035 040 Past 47 (Min/Max 40/49 #75) 192 Power-Off_Retract_Count -O--CK 100 100 000 - 72 193 Load_Cycle_Count -O--CK 029 029 000 - 142887 194 Temperature_Celsius -O---K 047 065 000 - 47 (0 18 0 0 0) 195 Hardware_ECC_Recovered -O-RC- 083 064 000 - 198210872 197 Current_Pending_Sector -O--C- 100 100 000 - 0 198 Offline_Uncorrectable ----C- 100 100 000 - 0 199 UDMA_CRC_Error_Count -OSRCK 200 200 000 - 0 240 Head_Flying_Hours ------ 100 253 000 - 18180h+16m+34.733s 241 Total_LBAs_Written ------ 100 253 000 - 99001327351 242 Total_LBAs_Read ------ 100 253 000 - 1325804550390 any help deciphering this would be great.. thanks!

What Hard Drive to use for Backup Server
After finally getting stressed enough about loosing my data, I've decided to build a mini unraid server. I've got a little Lenovo ThinkCentre (i5 4590T, 12Gb Ram) and I was thinking of popping a couple of USB3 External Drives onto it, combine them into a pool, then use lucky backup to keep my main servers data backed up. In total I currently have about 20Tb to backup, so was thinking of buying 2x 12Tb hard drives and some enclosures, and using them. I plan to run Luckybackup once a week and hopefully even setup to have the backup server be off most of the time and only turn on for backups and then shut down when complete. I have two main questions: 1. Does this seem like a reasonable approach for a novice? (In particular reffering to using the Drives externally via USB3) 2. Due to the drives only firing up once a week and the backups being incremental, do I specifically need NAS drives or can i get away with regular drives and save a few bucks? thanks for any help! Sam

SABnzbd and Sonarr Folder mapping problems
I figured it out finally! I went into edit and was able to change the /media for the path in there! I knew I'd feel stupid when I found out the answer! thanks everyone for the help! Very appreciated!

SABnzbd and Sonarr Folder mapping problems
Sorry I'm such a novice at this. I feel like this must be so obvious. But the /media and /data lines are present in the configurations of the docker? How do I change that?

SABnzbd and Sonarr Folder mapping problems
Thanks I appreciate your help! I'm quite new to unraid and dockers so please excuse my ignorance. But I still don't understand why it doesn't work. Where should I change my mappings?

SABnzbd and Sonarr Folder mapping problems
I'm sure I'm just doing something stupid here, but could really use some help. Maybe i'm just not understanding the FAQ that ive seen posted, but I think (maybe wrongly) that I've got my folder mapping setup correctly. But still get the error: "No files found are eligible for import in data/complete/example.mkv" My mappings are: Sonarr: /Media -> /mnt/user/Media/ /config -> /mnt/user/appdata/sonarr SABnzbd: /data -> /mnt/user/Media /config -> /mnt/user/appdata/binhex-sabnzbd Internally ive got: Sonarr, under Media Management - root folder path: /Media/media/TV Shows Sab, under Folders - Temp folder: /data/Incomplete and completed folder: /data/Complete can someone point out where i've gone wrong? All the guides talk about mapping Downloads? but i dont have that option? any help would be great! thanks. Sam

Absolute newbie. Is this even possible? 2 gamers 1 gpu. Kinda.
What about not at the same time? Would the gpu need to be manually assigned each time? What about the onboard graphics?

Absolute newbie. Is this even possible? 2 gamers 1 gpu. Kinda.
Hi all, Firstly I've got a half decent amount of tech knowledge but this side of things (VMs and Linux based stuff). Is completely new to me. What I'm trying to find out is if what I want to achieve is possible? Current PC: I9 10900k watercooled 32gb ram RTX 3080 ROG strix B460 MB Currently I have 3 screens running off this.. - Samsung Odyssey 32" g7 at 1440p 240hz (next to pc) - Samsung crappy 32" at 1080p at 60hz (next to pc) - Samsung TV 72" at 4k 60hz (upstairs in loungeroom via 10m Hdmi) Currently I run this In triple screen mode and disable unused screens.. This is hugely inconvenient. Can I use unraid to create 2x VMs. Have one run on the TV and the other on the 2x monitors. But both user the GPU? I game on the TV when I'm upstairs, and I game on the monitors when I want a nice quiet session? What is possible here? Thanks. I'm sure this will end up work more questions, but it's a start.
