  1. After finally getting stressed enough about loosing my data, I've decided to build a mini unraid server. I've got a little Lenovo ThinkCentre (i5 4590T, 12Gb Ram) and I was thinking of popping a couple of USB3 External Drives onto it, combine them into a pool, then use lucky backup to keep my main servers data backed up. In total I currently have about 20Tb to backup, so was thinking of buying 2x 12Tb hard drives and some enclosures, and using them. I plan to run Luckybackup once a week and hopefully even setup to have the backup server be off most of the time and only turn on for backups and then shut down when complete. I have two main questions: 1. Does this seem like a reasonable approach for a novice? (In particular reffering to using the Drives externally via USB3) 2. Due to the drives only firing up once a week and the backups being incremental, do I specifically need NAS drives or can i get away with regular drives and save a few bucks? thanks for any help! Sam
  2. I figured it out finally! I went into edit and was able to change the /media for the path in there! I knew I'd feel stupid when I found out the answer! thanks everyone for the help! Very appreciated!
  3. Sorry I'm such a novice at this. I feel like this must be so obvious. But the /media and /data lines are present in the configurations of the docker? How do I change that?
  4. Thanks I appreciate your help! I'm quite new to unraid and dockers so please excuse my ignorance. But I still don't understand why it doesn't work. Where should I change my mappings?
  5. I'm sure I'm just doing something stupid here, but could really use some help. Maybe i'm just not understanding the FAQ that ive seen posted, but I think (maybe wrongly) that I've got my folder mapping setup correctly. But still get the error: "No files found are eligible for import in data/complete/example.mkv" My mappings are: Sonarr: /Media -> /mnt/user/Media/ /config -> /mnt/user/appdata/sonarr SABnzbd: /data -> /mnt/user/Media /config -> /mnt/user/appdata/binhex-sabnzbd Internally ive got: Sonarr, under Media Management - root folder path: /Media/media/TV Shows Sab, under Folders - Temp folder: /data/Incomplete and completed folder: /data/Complete can someone point out where i've gone wrong? All the guides talk about mapping Downloads? but i dont have that option? any help would be great! thanks. Sam
  6. What about not at the same time? Would the gpu need to be manually assigned each time? What about the onboard graphics?
  7. Hi all, Firstly I've got a half decent amount of tech knowledge but this side of things (VMs and Linux based stuff). Is completely new to me. What I'm trying to find out is if what I want to achieve is possible? Current PC: I9 10900k watercooled 32gb ram RTX 3080 ROG strix B460 MB Currently I have 3 screens running off this.. - Samsung Odyssey 32" g7 at 1440p 240hz (next to pc) - Samsung crappy 32" at 1080p at 60hz (next to pc) - Samsung TV 72" at 4k 60hz (upstairs in loungeroom via 10m Hdmi) Currently I run this In triple screen mode and disable unused screens.. This is hugely inconvenient. Can I use unraid to create 2x VMs. Have one run on the TV and the other on the 2x monitors. But both user the GPU? I game on the TV when I'm upstairs, and I game on the monitors when I want a nice quiet session? What is possible here? Thanks. I'm sure this will end up work more questions, but it's a start.
