    Stupid me, I didn't think about it right. I changed my provider and therefore had leftover configs in the folder. I deleted them and created the ovpn file for the new provider. Works as expected now Thanks for answering.

    How does someone use VPN_PROV=custom? There is no parameter for the ovpn config and it seems to defaulting to isreal.ovpn.
