  1. Hi Djoss, restoring is now working just fine after the new update. Again, thanks a lot for the quick fix, all my files have been restored!
  2. Right! I had found that restore button in the meantime. However, through the web, one can only restore up tot 250mb or something. What I was also able to do was install a Crashplan client on a different machine and restore from there. I'm going to upgrade my docker and give that another go. Again, thanks a lot for the quick fix!!
  3. Awesome! Thanks Djoss! I tried going through the web portal but couldn't find any restore functionality. Must've overlooked it then. I'll have another look after work.
  4. Hi everyone, I've lost a significant amount of files during the weekend and when I try to restore them now I can see a "Preparing files" message in the Crashplan GUI but nothing gets restored. I've tried setting the permissions on the /storage mount point to rw but the issue remains. This is what I can see in my logs: restore_files.log.0 shows me this: I 02/14/22 08:33AM 42 Restore from CrashPlan Central stopped: 0 files restored @ 0Mbps I 02/14/22 08:33AM 42 Restore from CrashPlan Central completed: 0 files restored @ 0Mbps W 02/14/22 08:33AM 42 1 file had a problem W 02/14/22 08:33AM 42 - Timed out waiting for restore tool to be started by UI for /data/documenten/Facturen/Proximus/2018/2018-12-09.pdf I've also tried restoring to other folders such as /data and a newly created /restore of which the permissions were set to rw but none of the settings seem to work. So, I think there could be a different issue. If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them because I really want these files back. Thank you.
  5. I haven't had any issues anymore since I hooked up the disk outside of the Supermicro 1-in-3 unit so it seems there's something wrong there. A bad sata connector or something with the backplane. Anyway, the problem is resolved. Happy new year everyone!
  6. OK, same thing happened again this past night. So, its' definitely not the disk (unless there's some incompatibility with this type as they're the same). I've now hooked up one of these disks to the same sata cable but outside the Supermicro 5-in-3 unit, trying to exclude possible problems one at a time. J.
  7. Funny thing, this problem. Disk 9 got disabled again this past night. Wasn't just a one-off then. I'm now rebuilding onto a new disk, although the disk doesn't seem to be the problem judging from the SMART reports. Figured it can't hurt to try though. The only things that have changed on my system recently were the addition of disk 9 and an upgrade of Unraid from version 6.2.3 to version 6.2.4. I've attached the diagnostics again in case anyone feels like checking it. Let's see what happens with this new disk. tower-diagnostics-20161218-0730.zip
  8. Hi tdallen, That was indeed the diagnostics from before the reboot. Here's one I generated just now. J. tower-diagnostics-20161216-1711.zip
  9. Hi, I've attached the full diagnostics zip. After it had crashed I did disconnect all the sata cables from the Supermicro 5-in-3 enclosure and reconnected them. They're all locking sata cables though and they all seemed to still be connected properly. In the mean time the disk's been rebuilt successfully. J. tower-diagnostics-20161211-1233.zip
  10. Hey everyone, Yesterday my Unraid had disabled a disk because of read/write errors, I guess. I wasn't able to perform a SMART self-test afterwards either until after a reboot. The SMART tests I performed on the disks turned out fine. I'm now rebuilding the disk onto itself. I think the disk is fine but I'm not sure what went wrong yesterday. I've attached the syslog from the 'event'. Perhaps someone here can shed some light on a possible cause. The system has been running stable since I built it in June. Thanks for looking. J. syslog.txt
  11. Thanks johnnie.black, I'll request an RMA and see what happens.
  12. Thanks for you reply. I've just finished another SMART extended self-test > Completed without error I still have the reported uncorrectable value as a warning (value = 098, raw value = 2) And the unRaid status mails still say the array has failed (same message as in my earlier post) I'm just a bit afraid an RMA might not be accepted as SMART status is passed Is there anything I can try to get rid of the array fail? Or should I not bother any with any further troubleshooting and just ask for the RMA? I've attached the new SMART report. ST4000VN000-1H4168_Z304DKYE-20160612-2228.txt
  13. Hey everyone, I have a Seagate 4TB NAS drive, which I bought back in January, and has just been added to the array for about a week now (replacing an old 200GB drive). Back in January, it precleared without any problems but since it's been added to the array I've encountered several SMART errors. At first, current pending sector and offline uncorrectable values increased and threw SMART errors. They both increased to a max. value of 24. After running an extensive SMART self-test those values returned to 0 but then I received reported uncorrect SMART errors. This value has increased to 2 now. The status emails I receive from my unraid say Notice [TOWER] - array health report [FAIL] and Disk 6 - ST4000VN000-1H4168_Z304DKYE (sdn) - active 34 C (disk has read errors) [NOK]. Doesn't look good. However, at the bottom of the disks' page under Identity it still says SMART overall-health: Passed. Should/could I RMA this drive? I have several Seagate NAS drives and this is the first one with which I've encountered SMART errors. I've attached the SMART report, would be very much appreciated if someone could share their expertise. Thanks! ST4000VN000-1H4168_Z304DKYE-20160612-0848.txt
  14. Yes, I do. I have 9 disks in the array and a cache drive. Forgot to mention that.
  15. Nice build! I'm looking to build a similar system. Any idea on the power consumption of the latest build yet? This has become more important for me since taxes on electricity will be raised from 6% to 21% here. (Crazy, right?! ) Which graphics card is assigned to unraid? Can you use both outputs? Happy with overal performance? Any idea if the RAMs clockspeed has much of an effect on performance? RAM running at 3000MHz is much more expensive.
  16. Hey everyone, Looking to build a new ..euh...build because I want to get into using VMs and perhaps even try game streaming. I've already managed to compose two possible builds. Build 1: ---------- cpu i7-6700K (4 cores) mb Asus Z170 PRO GAMING ram Corsair LPX 2x16GB GPU1 (unraid) builtin GPU2 (gaming) MSI GeForce GTX 970 GAMING 4G cache Samsung 850 EVO 500GB Build 2: ---------- cpu i7-5820K (6 cores) mb Gigabyte GA-X99-UD4 ram Corsair LPX 2x16GB GPU1 (unraid) MSI GeForce 210 1GB GPU2 (gaming) MSI GeForce GTX 970 GAMING 4G cache Samsung 850 EVO 500GB I have a few dockers running (sickbeard, sabnzbd, Plex, makemkv). I would like to run a VM for gaming and at least one more for some file management tasks, etc.) I probably won't have the VMs running at the same time but switch them on and off when I need them so I don't know if they could have the same cores assigned? The benefits of the 5820 setup are of course the extra 2 cores and the extra memory slots on the X99 mb. The 6700 setup is a little cheaper though and has the base GPU built in. I believe it also produces less heat and consumes less power. Anyone want to throw some feedback my way about which build would suit me best? Thanks!
  17. Same here, only been using dockers since yesterday so it's all quite new to me still.
  18. Right, here's what I'm thinking about getting: - 3 x Supermicro CSE-M35T-1 drive cages. (definately, already ordered 2 that were on stock) -> thanks Chugiak and bjp999 for the tip! - Zalman MS800 Plus or Antec 1200 or any other case that I can fit the drive cages in (suggestions are welcome) - Intel i5 or i7 cpu. Not sure which one yet. Not sure if I can make full use of the i7, could be overkill. - ASRock Z97 Extreme6 or Gigabyte GA-Z87MX-D3H or any other board that supports virtualization (again, suggestions are welcome) - 16GB of DDR3-1600 RAM (2x 8GB). Don't know what brand yet. - My RocketRaid 2740 card (that I already have) - My Corsair HX650W power supply (that I also already have) So, what do you guys think? J. OK, so about an hour has gone by and now I'm thinking of going the Supermicro MB + Xeon cpu again because of IPMI.

  20. Wow! Impressive! Consider my mind rested! Thanks for the info, CHBMB.
  21. You make a good point. I'll keep this in mind, thanks!
