  2. i am having the same issue. but when i disconnect all the power sata cables from the power supply, the machine boots into unraid. i have two power sata cables, each connected to 3 hard drives each. the machine will not boot when the drives are connected, even if i disconnect one and leave the other sata cable connected and vice versa. I have a SUPERMICRO MBD-X7SPE-HF-D525-O board and I have replaced the board with the another same board. both boards were new. i was able to boot unraid and try to set up my shares once early on. then, i needed to update to 5.0 and rebooted the machine. that is the last time it booted properly with the drives connected.
  3. as requested... I have been trying to export nfs shares. when I hit apply, it doesnt share it. it just goes back to do not export. I would have more details but the server is in maintenance mode right now syslog-2013-09-21.txt.zip
  4. these shares are supposed to be shared/exported. Sometimes I have to go in and click "apply" to share them again? but it seems like I need to do this every time I restart the unraid server. thank you.
  5. Is there a way to fix this? the request is coming from a Mac with os X 10.8.5 I am running unRaid 5.0 Sep 17 16:34:46 Nautilus last message repeated 3 times Sep 17 16:34:46 Nautilus mountd[1788]: refused mount request from 10.0.1.26 for /mnt/user/VMware (/): not exported Sep 17 16:34:46 Nautilus last message repeated 3 times Sep 17 16:34:47 Nautilus mountd[1788]: refused mount request from 10.0.1.26 for /mnt/user/Backups (/): not exported Sep 17 16:34:47 Nautilus mountd[1788]: refused mount request from 10.0.1.26 for /mnt/user/Backups (/): not exported Sep 17 16:34:47 Nautilus mountd[1788]: refused mount request from 10.0.1.26 for /mnt/user/Applications (/): not exported Sep 17 16:34:47 Nautilus last message repeated 3 times Sep 17 16:34:47 Nautilus mountd[1788]: refused mount request from 10.0.1.26 for /mnt/user/Backups (/): not exported Sep 17 16:34:47 Nautilus last message repeated 3 times Sep 17 16:34:47 Nautilus mountd[1788]: refused mount request from 10.0.1.26 for /mnt/user/Downloads (/): not exported Sep 17 16:34:47 Nautilus last message repeated 3 times Sep 17 16:34:47 Nautilus mountd[1788]: refused mount request from 10.0.1.26 for /mnt/user/Photos (/): not exported Sep 17 16:34:47 Nautilus last message repeated 3 times Sep 17 16:34:47 Nautilus mountd[1788]: refused mount request from 10.0.1.26 for /mnt/user/VMware (/): not exported Sep 17 16:34:47 Nautilus last message repeated 3 times Sep 17 16:34:56 Nautilus mountd[1788]: refused mount request from 10.0.1.26 for /mnt/user/Applications (/): not exported Sep 17 16:34:56 Nautilus last message repeated 3 times Sep 17 16:34:56 Nautilus mountd[1788]: refused mount request from 10.0.1.26 for /mnt/user/Backups (/): not exported Sep 17 16:34:56 Nautilus last message repeated 3 times Sep 17 16:34:56 Nautilus mountd[1788]: refused mount request from 10.0.1.26 for /mnt/user/Downloads (/): not exported Sep 17 16:34:56 Nautilus last message repeated 3 times Sep 17 16:34:56 Nautilus mountd[1788]: refused mount request from 10.0.1.26 for /mnt/user/Photos (/): not exported Sep 17 16:34:56 Nautilus last message repeated 3 times Sep 17 16:34:56 Nautilus mountd[1788]: refused mount request from 10.0.1.26 for /mnt/user/VMware (/): not exported Sep 17 16:34:56 Nautilus last message repeated 3 times Sep 17 16:35:06 Nautilus mountd[1788]: refused mount request from 10.0.1.26 for /mnt/user/Applications (/): not exported Sep 17 16:35:06 Nautilus last message repeated 3 times Sep 17 16:35:06 Nautilus mountd[1788]: refused mount request from 10.0.1.26 for /mnt/user/Backups (/): not exported Sep 17 16:35:06 Nautilus last message repeated 3 times Sep 17 16:35:06 Nautilus mountd[1788]: refused mount request from 10.0.1.26 for /mnt/user/Downloads (/): not exported Sep 17 16:35:06 Nautilus last message repeated 3 times Sep 17 16:35:06 Nautilus mountd[1788]: refused mount request from 10.0.1.26 for /mnt/user/Photos (/): not exported Sep 17 16:35:06 Nautilus last message repeated 3 times Sep 17 16:35:06 Nautilus mountd[1788]: refused mount request from 10.0.1.26 for /mnt/user/VMware (/): not exported Sep 17 16:35:06 Nautilus last message repeated 3 times Sep 17 16:35:16 Nautilus mountd[1788]: refused mount request from 10.0.1.26 for /mnt/user/Applications (/): not exported Sep 17 16:35:16 Nautilus last message repeated 3 times Sep 17 16:35:16 Nautilus mountd[1788]: refused mount request from 10.0.1.26 for /mnt/user/Backups (/): not exported Sep 17 16:35:16 Nautilus last message repeated 3 times Sep 17 16:35:16 Nautilus mountd[1788]: refused mount request from 10.0.1.26 for /mnt/user/Downloads (/): not exported Sep 17 16:35:16 Nautilus last message repeated 3 times
  6. how are these EARX with unRaid? do I need to do anything different with these? running unraid 4.7
  7. thank you. Started Stop will take the array off-line. Data-Rebuild in progress. Cancel will stop Data-Rebuild. WARNING: canceling Data-Rebuild will leave the array unprotected! that was pretty easy so far.
  8. i have spare drives. there was a parity check running for days and was only at 17% so I stopped it. 1) I will shut down the machine. 2) I will locate the drive in the sever and remove it 3) insert new drive in same slot 4) then what? thanks

  10. I have a SMART Failure predicted on hard disk 3. THe machine has not fully booted yet. I am running unRaid 4.7. Advice? I tried to search for smart failure predicted and did not get good results. Thank!
  11. They can be plugged in independently. The thing is, plugging in *any* of them prevents the fans from spinning. And I do have a 2 year old.
  12. I pulled all the disk and tried to start it. It will not start if any of the backplanes are connected. Are all 5 backplanes independent or are they connected somehow? I also tested with cables that are know to work (used the one to power the fan assembly). I also tested with the hdd controller cards pulled. It is always when the backplanes are plugged in that the fans and computer will not start up.
