  1. I've been trying to get higher writes towards my SSD storage in Unraid. I have 2 SSDSC2BB800G6N SSD's in a raid 0 array BTRFS. Reading speeds are fine at 277MB/s (near line speed at 2.5Gb/s). However, writing is slow in comparison at around 140MB/s. I've checked the disks themselves and if I do a simple write test in unraid itself I get 760MB/s I rand this command: dd if=/dev/zero of=/mnt/cache/testfile bs=1M count=500 oflag=direct So this makes me assume something else is wrong. It can't be the network since it is capable of higher speeds and it is not the disks since they are capable of way quicker writes. I have tried writing to both a share with an without COW and I have enabled: strict sync = no in SMB settings. Is there anything else I can check or try? Or should I give up and buy a nvme disk? My unraid is running as a VM in Proxmox with a HBA passed through (LSI SAS2008)
  2. Topic can be closed. Was a network issue.
  3. @trurl I have tried with both a cached and uncached share and both yield similar results. Yep I only read about that part after I already rebooted my server so you might not be able to get a correct view of the situation.
  4. Hi, 2 days ago I noticed that my write and read speeds have been pretty bad or sometimes just plain awful. Where I used to get 120MB/s transfers I am not only getting 20-40MB/s.. I'm not sure what the issue is. I've gone through the syslog but can't really find what might be causing this. I've rebooted the server since this did not fix my issue though. (I've since read that I shouldn't have rebooted and downloaded the diagnostics first, hopefully the error has been reproduced already) My only guess right now is that my caching SSD has started to die and is causing issues. Any help would be appreciated! titania-diagnostics-20211212-1745.zip
