  1. Actually yes. I don't have a mouse or keyboard attached at all but have tried to plug in multiple ones to change variables. Never made any difference. Literally the only things that are the same are the files on the flash drive and 2 spinners and one SSD for cache.
  2. Same thing. Have done about 15 restarts and none of them have been successful with just a reboot. SOMETIMES if I move the USB to another port, it will go. Very frustrating! Again, everything has been changed to a new machine, including the flash drive.
  3. BIOS is updated. Just did it. I also noticed tonight that in the BIOS there are two "quick start" options. One is MSI Quick start and one is just Quick Start. I had the MSI one disabled and the other enabled. I disabled them both. Plugged it in and rebooted and it wouldn't pick up the UNRAID boot. Just black screen after MSI splash. Pushed the power button (no dedicated reset button) and held it for 15 seconds and then pushed it again to turn on. This time it did boot up and connect to my router (I have that interface open to see if it's active). I could type it's IP into Chrome and be in. Not sure if this is a success or not and probably won't for a while until I play with it but it is working, BIOS is updated, and all the Quick Starts are off.
  4. That's what I was hoping. Everything in the new machine is brand new other than a few drives I migrated over. Two storage drives and a SSD for cache.
  5. Interesting. If it would boot the second time, I wouldn't care. I've gone up to 25ish times and nothing before I've just given up. Try again tomorrow. This is changing USB ports every few times.
  6. I agree. Which is why I'm in the unraid support forum asking. Every other variable has been changed other than unraid.
  7. Was a new Samsung 16gb. Now a brand new SanDisk cruiser 16gb. Both made with the unraid disk creator
  8. I do. Switching around to different ports all the time. I'll switch it, reset the computer and see if loads up. If not, switch USB port, try again. I've even switched machines!! LOL
  9. Haven't tried booting something else. The issue following to two separate machines and two different USB drives seems to point to unraid. Doesnt matter if I reboot or full power down and start up. Still only have about a 20% chance of it booting normally.
  10. Oh I have. Many times. I always shows the Mobo msi splash. Sometimes it jumps to the unraid boot option, autoboots, and then just stays at a black screen indefinitely. Sometimes, it doesn't even get to the unraid boot option screen and just black. Sometimes it boots fine.
  11. Not sure honestly. I think i do remember seeing that in the BIOS. I'll check that when I get home. I do have an msi board.
  12. Had a Dell Optiplex that I used as my unRAID machine and it worked fine other than the boot up into the unRAID OS. I would sometimes have to boot up sometimes 10 times for it to load up. Most often I would need to move the USB stick to another USB port and then it may work, it may not. Very frustrating. So i built a new machine. Brand new everything. Built it all, booted it up with my USB and same thing. Reboot it with reset button after waiting about 5 minutes without seeing the server on my router interface screen and nothing from going to the IP on my browser. IF i move ports, then it will usually boot up first time. But not always. I then decide it must be the flash drive or the files on it. I back it up, buy a new Cruzer micro and reinstall the files from the zip backup onto the new drive. Same thing. I always use the 2.0 ports. I have no idea what to do next. Any ideas?
  13. I have an old Dell Optiplex that I have been using for unRAID/Plex but am moving to a new machine over this coming weekend. The Optiplex has (2) 8TB drive and an SSD that I use for cache. Runs unRAID off the flash drive with Plex, some .arrs and that's about it. No other OS. I haven't started really adding things to the library as far as media because I have known that the Dell was a temporary thing so essentially there is nothing on there that I would care about losing. The new system will have an NVMe 1Tb drive, and I will move another 8Tb drive into the array adding to the 2 that I already have and am taking from the old machine. I would also have the 500gb SSD from the other machine that was the cache. I am not really sure how to set it up in the best way. 1. If I don't care about the data on the current drives, should I just format them prior to installing in the new system and start from scratch? Like when I would do clean install of Windows over the years. Seems it always made things so much better. 2. I have read some say run the NVMe drive as the cache and maybe set it up to store the Appdata on the SSD. Not sure about that and if it's the best way to go. Would be grateful for any suggestions.
  14. I want to be able to start with everything shut down, not in sleep mode, and power the computer up to start my Plex dockers and such so people can use the Plex shares in the event that I am not home to power it up and get caught with it off. Not sure this is easily possible . I have thought of extending the wires to the case switch and then wiring to some type of Alexa device that could work like a momentary switch to power up and a latching relay to hold "switch" for the seconds required to power down. Not sure how a power down like that would affect unRAID though. I have also thought of some sort of mechanical actuator to physically push the power button. lol Not sure about that one yet. I travel a lot and my family moochers may want access when I am gone, or even I may myself. Seems a better solution that leaving it on for a long period if nobody is home and using it.
  15. Thank you guys for the info. I will be getting a K processor after reading all of this.
  16. Yes, the overclocking is what I was talking about. Like I said, I am new to this. I know what overclocking is and I was just wondering why some spend the money to get the K version if Unraid doesn't support it. I am looking to build a new machine and I had completely ignored the K skus because I thought the premium cost for a K was wasted money. I am trying to figure out if I should get the K after reading through some people's builds.
  17. I am just curious as to why people would use the K versions if UnRAID doesn't support the features in them. I understand if people are just repurposing old parts and PC's laying around but it seems that I have seen many new builds explicitly for UnRAID and they have them. I am planning a new system and wondering if I am making a mistake in not getting the K version. I would assume it is for other tasks that their servers run but just wondering.
  18. Copying a few things over to test as I am just getting this up and running finally. I keep getting this out of space error when I have space on the HDD. There is hardly anything on it. I am using Windows Explorer to drag and drop it from folder off my computer to the server folder. What am I, or setup, incorrectly?
  19. Really new at this and I am following the Space Invader YouTube video on how to install and setup Tdarr. I am to the point to add a Library and when he clicks Show Folder, he gets his subdirectories to show up. I get nothing. I have movies, TV shows, and music in those folder and nothing. I have gone over typos, and paths the best that I know how, but I will admit that isn't very much. Like I said, very new at this. I took screen shots of my Tdarr, Tdarr Node, and Web UI settings. Can anyone see what I am doing wrong? tdarr settings.pdf tdarr node settings.pdf Tdarr WEB ui.pdf
