[Supermicro X9SCM-F bios setup]

I am about to receive the  Supermicro X9SCM-F Motherboard with 8gigs of ECC memory and the Xeon E3-1270 CPU. I would appreciate any advice for Bios setup on this board if necessary. I will also be using the Fujitsu 9211-8i 6Gbps SATA SAS HBA LSI 2008 card for the controller. 

 

[Wd Red Pro 16 tb or Gold 16tb?]

I am about to purchase four 16tb drives and start an UnRaid service after testing it for a few weeks for my photography business.

Any reason I should not go with the WD Gold drives instead of the Red Pro drives? Aside from the extra noise? It looks like the cache is larger as is the TBR/ year on the Gold drives. Any one using the Gold units? Thanks
