I also enabled the syslog server by adding that IP which did work but I don't think that should have affected any crashes

Oddly enough I have had 13 days of uptime so far, the only change this time is I have abstained from any updates to docker images. I'm going to let it go another week and if no issues try updates again.

My drive says it is pre-fail in some attributes although it is a year old with minimal usage, my file server mostly archives, not a lot of in and out going on. Wondering how big a deal this is since I got a good hard drive and was hoping for longevity. Also the Newer WD Red drive seems to be fairing worse than my much older WD Blue drive at 1 and 2 years old respectively.

 

Also I have  a smart report saying thumbs down for the Red drive (which is parity) but I can't figure out what the actual error was that caused the thumbs down. 

 

Looking for some advice from some much more knowledgeable folk, thanks a ton!

I added the mirror to flash setting as enabled, hopefully that will work out next time it crashes, should be in a couple days or so.

Hello, hoping to get some help figuring out what is causing my system to crash repeatedly. Help is much appreciated in advance!

 

I just ran the system in safe mode for 3 days only to find it hung in safe mode as well, I hoped it was just  a plugin issue but appears not. The system seems to run great for 2-7 days, then it will completely freeze and only an unclean forced shut down will get it running again. I have my diagnostic logs attached, I read somewhere there is also a setting that needs to be enabled for deeper logging, is this correct? I hope there is enough info in these logs but I can change settings if needed. I have the system running in safe mode again with minimal docker containers running, only my critical 3 for running my nextcloud instance, that needs to have a near 100% uptime so this has been very problematic. Especially since nextcloud itself is buggy enough already.

What is the web ui user / pass default? Also how is that configured?

I had to reinstall this docker, I lost my extra arguments indication the /dev/srX and /dev/sgX numbers for the drives. I know the numbers but am not getting the drives to be recognized in avidemux, can someone share a working parameter set with me? This is for some reason not in the documentation as far as I could find.
