  1. I would like to ask what is the command to restart the network service in unraid. I tried several common commands and it didn't work. I need to restart the unraid network service after reinstalling the driver to try to fix the problem. In addition, I would like to ask, is the ixgbe driver updated in the new version? Thanks a lot for the reply.
  2. I found a similar situation on Google, and many people reported that the driver could not be loaded normally because of module problems. You can solve this problem with the command modprobe ixgbe allow_unsupported_stp=1, but it didn't work after I tried it. In addition, I tried to update the driver and found that the version of ixgbe is 5.19.17-Unraid, but the official version of Intel is 5.18.13. This makes me a little confused.
  3. Hello everyone. I recently purchased a x520-da2 network card, but when I plugged it into the motherboard, I found that the dual-port network card can only recognize one port. It is strange that there are 3 SFP+ ports clearly visible in the system equipment, but only two are shown in the network. (There are two x520 network cards on my motherboard, da1 and da2 respectively. So theoretically there should be three 10G Ethernet ports and one onboard 2.5G Ethernet port) I have tried to delete the network and network rule files in the boot folder, but it doesn't work. There are screenshots below for your reference, please reply if you need more information. Thanks for the support!
  5. Hi everyone ! Where can I get the list of NICs officially supported by unraid. I plan to buy a Mellanox MCX-312B-XCCT dual-port SFP+ NIC recently. I don't know if unraid can support this NIC and enable its sriov function. Thank you for your replies!
  6. Hello everyone. Recently I'm researching using the sriov virtual network card to replace the bridge network card I used before. However, in fact, the network performance of my virtual machine has not improved much. Regarding the network card allocated to the virtual machine, how can I minimize the waste of system performance. I think that using the sriov network card to pass through to the virtual machine will also cause a waste of cpu performance, but it is not as big as the bridge method. I'm looking for a recommended way to minimize cpu wasted performance. Thanks for everyone's suggestions.
  7. Hello everyone. I want to get buying advice on NICs. I want to buy a NIC with dual sfp+ (10G) ports. I want to use it to enable sriov and take on all my virtual machine networking functions (mostly windows). It is best to use pciex8 interface, my pcie resources are relatively tight. My motherboard is ROG STRIX Z490-A GAMING, and the cpu is intel 10900t. Therefore, the comprehensive requirement is dual-port 10G, sriov can be enabled, and the created virtual interface can be recognized after being passed directly to the windows virtual machine. Looking forward to your recommendations, thank you.
  8. In fact, this is not a hard disk read problem. But because my network card is pirated and does not support sriov. After replacing the network card, the file modification is successful. An infuriating and frustrating coincidence...
  9. In fact, this is not a hard disk read problem. But my network card is a counterfeit version and does not support sriov. After I replaced a network card, the file was successfully modified. An infuriating yet frustrating coincidence....
  10. Hello everyone I have a question about hard disk reading. When I try to modify the /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:xx:00.x/sriov_numvfs file, the system prompts me "bash: echo: write error: Input/output error " After searching, I found that this is suspected to be a bad sector problem. I used the xfs_repair command to repair all my hard disks in the array, and then put my system U disk into the windows system for detection, and there were no bad sectors. I would like to know which hard disk the folder is deployed in so that I can perform deeper detection. I will upload the results of my scan with xfs_repair -nv /dev/mdx command later for reference. thank you all!
  11. Hello everyone! I want to do sriov of the network card, but I am using "echo 1 > /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:xx:00.x/sriov_numvfs" When modifying the number of virtual network cards, it prompts "bash: echo: write error: Input/output error." How can I troubleshoot. Or if this is not a glitch please tell me how can I accomplish sriov of my network card. Thanks!
  12. Hello everyone! I have a bug here that doesn't affect usage but is disgusting. I now have 6 network ports, which consist of an onboard network port, a 10G network card, and a four-port Gigabit network card. For some reasons, I need to replace the two network cards in the pcie slot. After I finished the replacement, the four ports of the four-port Gigabit NIC changed to eth8-eth11, and the 10-Gigabit NIC changed to eth7. But eth1-eth6 had nothing. How do I deal with this problem, I tried to modify the network files in flash, but it didn't take effect. Thank you everyone!
