  1. I'm currently trying to access my Unraid server from anywhere using my Mac and Tailscale. Both devices are connected to my tailnet, and the Mac is able to access the GUI from a different network. When I go to Locations > ------'s Macbook Pro > Network, the server doesn't show up as a drive. What am I doing wrong?
  2. I'm pretty new to Unraid, and I want to access my server as a hard drive from anywhere using a MacBook. I have Tailscale setup on both devices, with the Unraid server as an Exit Node. That's working fine. With the VPN enabled, on a different network with my mac, I cannot access either the Unraid GUI, via ip, or the files in Finder. Any advice would be great. Thanks!
  3. So I've been following along with Spaceinvader One's "How to Install Big Sur and Other macOS Versions with New Macinabox" video. He's telling me to run the user script that installs the VM. When I do this, I get this message in a pop-up: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Script location: /tmp/user.scripts/tmpScripts/1_macinabox_helper/script Note that closing this window will abort the execution of this script Starting to Fix XML error: failed to get domain 'macinabox' No network adapters in xml to change. Network adapter is already virtio Added custom qemu:args for macOS topolgy line left as is custom ovmf added error: Failed to define domain from /tmp/macinaboxfixed.xml error: (domain_definition):3: Extra content at the end of the document ^ This is what has been done to the xml Your network type was already correct. Network has not been changed. The custom qemu:args have been added to you xml. VM is set to use custom ovmf files. xml is now fixed. Now goto your vm tab and run the VM Rerun this script if you make any other changes to the macOS VM using the Unraid VM manger ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What have I done wrong? There's no VM in the tab. Also is there a better place to put this post?
  4. I have an Unraid setup currently caseless sitting on top of my printer. Spec will be below. I think I'm going with the Jonsbo N1 NAS case as a chassis, but I need a Mini-ITX AM4 motherboard. Does anyone have any suggestions? I need something relatively budget-friendly and with decent wired networking. If there's a better case that can fit more than 4 drives, I'd love to be in the loop. If you have any questions, let me know. Thanks! 6. I just built a new Unraid server, my first foray into any sort of Linux or media server stuff. I am a complete newbie, and am having some issues. I followed SpaceInvaderOne's video on how to set up rootshares, and thought I had it figured out when my 4tb server showed up as only 6.73gb in file explorer . It has two 128gb cache drives in their own little pool. The files on there are some random STLs and Gcodes for my 3D printers. All drives were bought new. If you need any info on my server to help me with this, please ask and I'll do my best to help out. Thanks! Edit - I just looked at my dashboard and found that my cache, with the same files as seen above, is showing 24.7 gigabytes utilization. ???. My main array is also showing 27.9, even though it doesn't have any files on it when I navigate to file explorer and check.
