  1. I setup my browser's proxy to also go through the delugevpn and when going to ipleak it shows the correct IP (however Torrent Address Dectection didnt resolve). I found another site that might display similar info? https://iknowwhatyoudownload.com/ Putting in the IP didnt bring anything up that I was currently downloading but I think there might be a delay, so I will check again tonight. Thanks for the suggestion...already got a letter from my isp so didnt want another.
  2. I just got this setup last night and was downloading ok, but it was going much quicker than I thought it should. Is there any way to check that its actually using the vpn for my downloads? (if that makes sense).
  3. Sorry for the late reply, i can now access unmenu, but not the unraid menu, plugins, shares etc. I used unmenu to get a syslog (Attached). Had a look through the logfile and nothing jumped out at me, but im not entirely sure what i should be looking for...any ideas? syslog-2014-08-31_1.txt
  4. Hi, Long story short, my friend gave me his usb hdd, plugged it in but it wasn't recognised in snap. I decided to reformat the drive on my pc and plug it back in...when doing so my unraid box wouldnt start. Ok, something similar happened a few years back and decided to update and replace files on my usb stick (still running v5.0rc-16c). Bad idea. I've somehow made it much, much worse. I took my usb drive (backed up my originals) and replaced bzimage, bzroot and the syslinux directory. It takes a long time to boot (halting at this issue...see attached) It then says sh: -c: option requires an argument and lets me login...but I cant seem to connect to the webgui etc. Any ideas on where I'm going wrong? Not having my unraid box means I have to watch normal telly like a pleb...its painful. Cheers f2
  5. Ha, thats awesome! Thanks for that man, i will do this over the weekend...I didnt want to bork my setup trying to copy it lol Cheers again! PS - Is the make-bootable bat file contained in the unraid installer? Sorry for all the questions.
  6. I've been raving about unraid for a while and my mate got a microserver to test it out. I know this must sounds lazy, but can i backup my usb and then use that to setup his unraid box (wilth all my plugins intact!). Then all that's left is to add the drives, folders and plugin setting. I can remember the license file is tied to the usb stick, when plugging it in, will it allow me to revert back to the free 2 disk version? If its possible i use windows, so a program for that would be ideal (would win32 imager work? dont want to corrupt mine!)...if not im sure i could get a ubuntu vm going or something. Cheers
  7. Hi Trul, Sorry, I never realised the log was so long, wouldnt let me post it here or on pastebin haha, uploaded it to media, you can view online (no download): http://www.mediafire.com/view/zxve6if88dd5984/log.txt Yeah, my drives are almost full, but i do think my cache was actually 100% full. I was in the process of moving stuff around when I noticed it last night/today. If I was to upgrade, would i need to go through the whole install plugin process? You miss your nas when you dont have it, normal tv is rubbish haha.
  8. Hi, Yesterday I noticed my server was on, but couldnt access anything. When I looked further, it seems "Tower unRAID Server" is up (Main | Array Management | Disk Management | Syslog | myMain | Useful Links | Disk Performance etc) but not the menu Im used to. The shares dont seem up either, any ideas on what I do to get it back up and running? 9. @ Auto Thanks for the command, I have a txt file with a bunch of handy tips...always good to find out another. @ mrow Cool, cheers for the tip...I never knew I could do that haha! Another user helped me find out what was holding up my array from shutting down, turned out to be sab log files on my cache drive. Weird. But after reading your posts, i now think I misread the other guys post (which sunk in after reading peterb's comment haha) I was just setting up my nas box at the time and was already installing plugins so I zoned in on the apc plugin for some reason. I know realise unMenu would have been a better choice. How do i go about removing/uninstalling apc if I can get unMenu working on 5.0-rc12a?
  10. Is there a chance I have done any damage to my data? I was under the impression that the acp plugin shutdown the server better than the web interface (it saved me trying to get figure out how to get those shutdown scripts installed).
  11. sorry to bump my own post, just worried that i might be corrupting my data if Im not using apc correctly
  12. I've got everything almost setup, but was wanting to check I was doing the basic things like shutting down/re-booting my nas properly. 1) using ap to shutdown nas I installed apc after it recommended, i dont have a ups but the /sbin/powerdown command was really easy to use. So just to confirm, I dont need to stop the array, just run the command and thats it? Thanks
  13. hey trurl, got apc installed and using /sbin/powerdown, much easier! Just to confirm, I dont need to setup the plugin, since Im not using a ups and I I no longer need to stop the array...juste /sbin/powerdown? Also, is there another command to reboot? Cheers
  14. Well stopping sab manually before stopping the array worked. Any reason why/how the sab log files are now causing the user share error? Can i just disable it, delete it from my apps/appdata folder then reinstall?Or is there an easier solution (just wondering before i have to set it all backup again). Cheers
  15. I installed the Influencer/UNplugged sab plugin, have I perhaps broken it in some way? I will test out this theory tonight (manually stopping sab > stop array > shutdown) and see if I can shut it down cleanly with no errors.
