  1. To move the flash drive to a PC, I assume that's with the server shut down. It's currently going through the parity check. Shouldn't I wait for that to finish before doing anything else?
  2. I just thought I'd throw this out there if anybody could guide me to what the problem may be. These unclean shutdowns have only happened twice so far in the past couple of months. The first time I thought may have been just a fluke, or maybe my cats knocked a cable or hit a power button. But I was home when the second one happened just now and I don't see what could have caused it. Diagnostics are attached. Hopefully an answer is in there. tartarus-diagnostics-20230625-2040.zip
  3. Coming back with new diagnostics. Does it look like the same issue with the HBA? Sorry about the ignorance. Could you show me which logs I should be looking into? tartarus-diagnostics-20230205-0056.zip
  4. I bought this card through amazon without checking the seller, but it was selling for around 500. Sounds to me like the right price for the product to me. I'll make sure to add the aux power and keep an eye on it. If this happens again I'll come back here to let everyone know what I do about this card and where it came from.
  5. Also, how should I figure out whether my card is counterfeit or not?
  6. This is not the first issue I've had with the HBA if that is the problem. I had initially wanted to use the HBA as a solution for future expansion, and also learning that SAS ports seem to be more reliable than onboard SATA. I'm currently doing a parity check, which I hope will (maybe temporarily) fix my problem at the moment. If I end up going through the same problem in the near future then I would probably switch to the onboard SATA anyway. Would you think that it might be a power issue? There's an available port to be connected by the PSU, that I read was generally meant for rack mount servers. Just spitballing here.
  7. I don't know what caused this issue nor what the logs really mean. Could anybody enlighten me in what the issue is that's giving me these read errors? tartarus-diagnostics-20230129-1606.zip
  8. Moved the HBA to the top PCIe slot, booted, and restarted my SMART tests. So far they've been going for about 20 minutes. Previously I wasn't able to go past 10 minutes, so this may have been the fix. Thanks again! If I run into anymore issues with this problem I'll come right back here. You've been amazing.
  9. This is a single PCIe card. How would I use just 1 of the controllers?
  10. Same thing is happening after FW update.. tower-diagnostics-20221227-2111.zip
  11. I was able to successfully upgrade the FW with your guide. Thank you! I'll keep you updated on whether my original problem has been fixed.
  12. I was able to find the MSDOS FW package, but I can't seem to find the linux installer anywhere. I don't know if any other installer would be able to work for me here. I was thinking of searching through the 3008 files as that's the chipset used on the 9300. Also, since all my HDDs aren't discoverable could I copy my files into the cache drive instead?
  13. I thought that might be an issue. I was actually reading your guide before you replied initially, and I'm having a hard time understanding how to store the ROM and which consoles you're using for inputs. Again, I'm very new to this. Hopefully you can help clarify. Sorry!
