Hi.
I had to transfer my usb key from a very old one to a newer one but I'm still getting boot issues with it. I've tried contacting support via the website as it says I cannot transfer again to another key. Can any one help?
I've also wondered - is there a way of disabiling the legacy boot option on the key and have it only showing UEFI? The reason being is that the system (a QNAP NAS) wont boot from the key if the legacy boot is selected on boot devices. It works fine if UEFI selected. I can get into the bios and change the default boot order to make it goto UEFI as default (no way of disabling legacy in the bios) but if for any reason the key comes out and reinserted then the bios will rechange the priorities and have the legacy as 1 and uefi as 2. Its a pain.

Has anyone figured out a way of changing the display settings? Its currently at 20x2 but i need to change it to 16x2

So after much testing, i figured it out! Thankfully that driver addon helped me out by showing how to blacklist a kernel driver. So, it seems my 4 main network ports are actually intel based. Now the realtek one (which has no serial showing when using lspci -vv) I have no idea what that is! There isnt a sneaky 5th network port! I do wonder if its got something to do with the front usb micro-b port? Thinking about it I believe it must as i think its ment to have direct link connection with a laptop, etc. Not somehting I've ever done......
Anyway, so I uninstalled the realtek addon, and under the system drivers I blacklisted the realtek driver. And its now showing as 4 ethernet ports correctly!
Thank you!

I've instaled the drivers (thanks for that!) and I've rebooted, but still the mac isnt right?

I've got my unraid server running balance-alb (6) as it has 4 integrated network ports. Its a QNAP device, so its not using an addon network card. eth 1 - eth 4 have correct sequential MAC showing, however the bonded address keeps changing to something random each reboot.
EG: qnap MAC: 24:5E:BE:23:8F:00, 24:5E:BE:23:8E:FF, 24:5E:BE:23:8F:01, 24:5E:BE:23:8F:02. The MAC currently being used is : 66:59:F1:DF:48:F7 showing on eth1 (for some reason). eth0 is showing on unraid as 24:5E:BE:23:8F:02.
After a reboot and plugging in all 4 connections, its now using mac : 82:72:39:55:CF:C5
Is there a way of getting Unraid to just use one mac and stick with it? I know i can do static ip on unraid which will solve alot of problems, but I'd prefer to set static ip via my router so its easier for me to adjust things such as my dns, etc.
Thanks

is there any way of editing the settings of the screen display? Mine has all the data a few spaces to the right meaning a lot of stuff is cut off. Its only a 2 line display...

This is well known and Nvidia breaks more an more cards with newer drivers and was discussed often times here.
Sorry but I won't include that because I compile the driver packages as they are provided by Nvidia because I try to deliver the drivers as they are without any modifications.
I don't know if you have seen it in the repository but only the legacy v470.xx drivers are supported and not the current drivers v5xx
I'm also not entirely sure if this repository is still maintained because the last commit was about 9 months ago.
Anyways, as said above, I won't include that modification because I deliver the drivers unmodified, hope that makes sense to you.
Totally makes sense. And thankful that you do! Thanks for checking.

Hi guys,
So ive got a 1050ti installed in my server which is working great. However, nvidia-smi wont detect power draw. From what i can find out, this is due to nvidia not putting the support in for older cards in the linux firmware. The card itself does support this feature.
I found a github that may fix this issue but wanted someone with a better understanding to see if this may be used on unraid.

Unraid did an update last night and now the qnap-ec drivers were removed and cant be reinstalled.
I am getting this error - plugin: run failed: '/bin/bash' returned 1
Can anyone help? This has stopped my fans from being controlled causing my drives to get a bit warm......

Is there a way to customese LCDd.conf without it resetting to defaults? It seems the QNAP driver has the screen size wrong - shold be 16x2 but the options (eg. uptime) show passed the edge of the screen. Also would like to configure other options such as screen brightness, timeout, etc.

So I gave up waiting and upgraded to RC5 and have the QNAP LCD working!! So happy!

My setup is:
Qnap tvs-473e
40gb ram
4x 8tb Toshiba n300
2x 500gb m.2 ssd
External 6tb usb hdd
Nvidia 1050ti
Noctua 120mm
2x noctua 80mm
8 Port poe switch
Osmc vero4k (running as adguard server) (poe powered)
Linksys wrt3200acm (poe powered)
3x deco m9 plus WiFi routers (poe powered)
Apc ups powering it all
All running idle 80-90w or 130-140w parity check. Happy to keep things under 100w! Everything runs around 30-40'c and processor gets to about 60-70'c when working decently.
Had to modify the case somewhat to add additional fans to keep temps down as qnap bios doesn't control fan speed unless running qnap software and unraid doesn't have cpu based fan control either. So I run the curves based om drive temps as best I can.

I've got unraid currently running on my qnap (tvs-473e with gtx1050ti, 4x 8tb toshiba n300 drives, 2x m.2 500gb SSD, 40gb memory) unit which has 4 integrated 1gb network ports. I currently use 2 ports using balance-alb. This connects to my unmanaged 8port poe+ switch. My switch powers my 3 mesh network points. It also powers my wrt3200acm router running openwrt. I've got my vero4k (osmc) which runs on Debian running my AdGuard home. This is also powered by poe. The whole system is backed up with a apc ups.
As I basically don't turn off the server and it's primary function is to run emby, I was thinking of consolidating everything into a VM on the server to get rid of the router and osmc (I use Nvidia shield of video playback now). I have a small fiber box as the modem.
Would this be a easy enough setup to do? I'm hoping to save a bit on the power bills! Currently the whole setup (ups, server, access points, switch) run at 90w-120w.

ive added the variables, but I still get no image render available/installed..... I'm using the grafana unraid stack.

I have a setup where my server lives inside a cupboard which I've added external fans to maintain temperature and airflow. They are all connected to a smart mains socket that I can control remotly. Can anyone help me in finding a plugin or script that will connect unraid to IFTTT? The reason being the socket it a TPLink unit which works well with that service. I was wanting to get it setup so the fans are switched off if the server is off and obviously on again when the server is on. Admitadly the server is almost never powered off, but its one of those situations that having the fans on/off is another easy way for me to see that the server is running or not.

Might be worth havign a look at this project too : https://github.com/jdupl/QnapFreeLCD/blob/master/lcd-control.ksh

Where does it say that things are already installed?
It only says that the Kernel module is already enabled.
You haven‘t still answered if you need to boot into GUI mode…
Are you also sure that you are on the latest BIOS version and everything up to date?
I see that you got a Nvidia card installed too in your server, maybe that causes issues in combination woth the iGPU.
From the Diagnostics that you‘ve posted earlier I see that the Kernel module is available but not enabled.
I would like to be able to boot into gui mode. I have an external monitor I want on the outside of my server cupboard which will show status of the server, home assistant, etc. But I dont want to take up the usage of my 1050ti as thats in use by emby docker for transcoding.
The server has its latest bios (as its a qnap unit, its an old bios date which I checked with qnap to confirm its the latest).
How do i enable the module?

Try to start your system without GUI mode. Do you need GUI mode?
Maybe try to first do this from a Unraid console:
modprobe -v amdgpu
and post the output here.
Hi ich77,
I've just tried this, and it just comes up blank.
I managed to get the plugin to install, so i removed it and reinstalled it as the info is a bit odd saying already have stuff installed?

Hi,
My system has a nVidia 1050ti installed (all working) but also I have an integrated Radeon R5/R6/R7 Graphics (rev 84) which I'm having issues installing the radeontop plugin. Everything shows up under devices ok. But when I try and install the plugin, i get the following :

Unfortunatly the syslog only shows:

Is there a way of finding out what the error is and how to solve? I'd like to get the drivers installed so I can use the boot gui.

I've tried editing that but it will not stick. I tried with the plugin disabled, enabled, etc etc but each time it reverts back to 20x2. Same for when the system reboots, etc.
