Ok thanks. Is the data on the other drives still ok? Whats my next step?

I will spare you with the details of why the drives failed. But they did. My simple question is the following. Can I rebuild one of the three data drives from parity, while ignoring the other two?

Just wondering what I need to upgrade... I have my, very basic, Unraid Rig: VERSION: 6.7.2 M/B: ASUS B85M-E CSM BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. Version 2304. Dated: 05/25/2015 CPU: Intel® Core™ i3-4330 CPU @ 3.50GHz HVM: Enabled IOMMU: Disabled Memory: 4 GiB DDR3 The Player Rig, hooked up to my TV: Same config as the Server. Whenever I play a movie with higher resolution the video stutters (Skips) Not smooth video If I reduce the playback quality to 720 everything is smooth. Reduce to 1080 and I get buffering.... My question is: What needs upgrading? The Unraid Rig, or the Player Rig If I have a choice I would rather 'put money' on the Unraid setup. If that is possible, can anyone summarize what my options are. And if not, what should I do to my Player Rig? I appreciate your time.

I want to replace my AOC-SASLP-MV8 with the LSI 9207-8i but all the talk about conterfits is making me hesitate. Can you confirm that this: jiawen2018 (23601 ) is the seller you refer to in the above quote ?

I mostly use Unraid for Plex and Backups. Backup files are smaller but since the backups are run automatically at night I'm not worried about that. Thank you !

I am about to buy a few HDs to replace old drives that are getting more and more reallocation errors and such. Anyways, I see alot of threads here that talk about reliability but I did not find any that mention Cache Size (Hard Drive cache size 64mb / 256mb) Does Size matter ?

Quick question... I just had to RESET again... Now the system is doing a parity check. Can I stop the partiy check.. Put the parity offline and then do the reiserfsck check ?

Disk all are working properly. Parity check came out with no errors. What should I be looking for in the File System ?

I am on version 5.0.6. I haven't changed a thing in over a year, apart from changing up two drives a few months ago. Now for the fourrh time in a little over a week everything freezes up. It all seems random. This is what the screen looks like At this point the only thing I can do is press reset! Can anyone shed some light on this for me.. Thank you for that link. It was helpful in understanding the whole Min Space, Split Level phylosophy... lol But it took more thinking on my part. I found that the files not being copied were partially copied to a FULL disk. So I proceeded to erase these pesky files from the share (FILMS) {Yes I had a copy } This was, as I so thought, suppose to remove the partials from the FULL disk and also from the CACHE disk. Well, the partials were still on the FULL disk. So I erased them directly from the disk. Now I felt I could re-copy them from my backup back into the array and have everything working fine. Not ! I invoked the mover and found the same error, it was trying to place the file back on the FULL disk. (Note. The FULL disk is indicated as haveing 0 free space, by unRaid.) I did check and re check my share settings.. Could not come up with a reason why this was happening... ANYWAYS SOLVED By re-doing the above steps BUT before invoking the mover I set the share to EXCLUDE the FULL disk. That did it for me.

I have files that stay on the cache drive while others are moved. Here is the log. TRIED: Rebooting. Did not work I removed the files from the share, then re-copied them back in the share . Then invoked the mover. Did not work I added a random file to that same directory to see if that would be moved. The random file was moved but not the others. log.txt

... Or if not, what other torrent program is out there that I could use? Thank you

I've been searching and keep getting old posts. Does Transmission still work with unRaid 5 ? If yes, where can I find the correct download?
