INTEL X550-T2 CANNOT AUTO NEGOTIATE 1GBIT LINK
alessandro15 replied to alessandro15's topic in General Support
the switch works at 10gb already tested with a previous server, and even with the previous server always connected to the same router (with 2.5gb port) it worked completely even the old server had 1 x eth 10gb intel and I didn't encounter these problems, I'm just wondering if it's possible, if there's a way to activate the negotiation properly or block it at maximum speed, then it will be the other device that creates a "bottleneck" for the device -
INTEL X550-T2 CANNOT AUTO NEGOTIATE 1GBIT LINK

on the other hand there is an Asus GT-AX11000 router with a 2.5GB port (temporary) for configuring the new server, followed by a 10GB switch -
Hi everyone, I have an Asus Pro WS WRX80E-SAGE SE WIFI II, which has 2 ethe 10gb ports ( Intel X550-AT2 dual 10Gb Ethernet) but still it can't reach the speed I attach the commands I gave in the terminal, does anyone know how to solve this, and maybe activate effective negotiation, or set it fixed to 10gb (if you set it fixed, will I encounter problems if I connect to 2.5?) and I have to do it for both ports Thank you root@Tower:~# ethtool eth0 Settings for eth0: Supported ports: [ TP ] Supported link modes: 100baseT/Full 1000baseT/Full 10000baseT/Full 2500baseT/Full 5000baseT/Full Supported pause frame use: Symmetric Supports auto-negotiation: Yes Supported FEC modes: Not reported Advertised link modes: 100baseT/Full 1000baseT/Full 10000baseT/Full Advertised pause frame use: Symmetric Advertised auto-negotiation: Yes Advertised FEC modes: Not reported Speed: 1000Mb/s Duplex: Full Auto-negotiation: on Port: Twisted Pair PHYAD: 0 Transceiver: internal MDI-X: Unknown Supports Wake-on: umbg Wake-on: g Current message level: 0x00000007 (7) drv probe link Link detected: yes root@Tower:~# ethtool -s eth0 autonegazione ethtool (-s): unknown parameter 'autonegazione' root@Tower:~# dmesg | grep -i ixgbe [ 21.131283] ixgbe: Intel(R) 10 Gigabit PCI Express Network Driver [ 21.131287] ixgbe: Copyright (c) 1999-2016 Intel Corporation. it almost seems like it doesn't recognize the serial number, but it definitely hasn't been changed, the disks have just been moved to the new server, and 2 disks added one that replaced the old 6tb (still in my possession and not formatted) -

power supply works, since you can hear the disk starting, but it doesn't seem to be visible, I also tried to see if the disk went with another PC with a USB Sata adapter, the disk can be seen easily -

Hi everyone, I recently changed server configuration, including cpu mobo and ram, mobo: Pro WS WRX80E-SAGE SE WIFI II cpu: AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5955WX the rest of the components remained unchanged, no pci card (sata/raid) only a gpu, it sees all the disks including 2 new ones but 1 previously installed 14tb doesn't show it, I have a plus subscription (12 disks) at the moment I also count the one it doesn't see I have 7 x HHD (2 x parity and the rest storage) and 2 nvmi (cache) of the two new disks, 1 was added as parity and the other was to replace an old disk (6tb --> 18tb) you have any ideas, I don't know what to do very urgent I can't even trace your files. I had seen that there was also a command to use for amd processors, but I tried adding syslinux to the file (label Unraid OS GUI Mode kernel /bzimage append initrd=/bzroot,/bzroot-gui pci=realloc=off ) but it doesn't work tower-diagnostics-20240216-1951.zip

at the moment the VMs do not have any PCI card, later they will have 1 arc 770 gpu the only docker (plex) that has the 2060 set in composer

Hi everyone, I recently purchased new hardware for my unraid server, I come from an Intel® Xeon® CPU E5-2699 v3 +asus X99-WS/IPMI + 4x 32gb ram ddr4 ecc reg 2400mhz ---> AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5955WX + asus es wrx80e-sage se wifi II + 2 x 64gb ddr4 reg 3200mhz and asus resulting in RAM upgrade (frequency increase) and new case. the HHDs remain the same together with NVMI, I don't have any PCI raid card all sata. the nvdia 2060 GPU will also remain in the new config with the addition of an ARC 770 I count a 20 TB disk as parity (insert another 20 TB disk as the second disk with the new config) a 14 TB + 6 TB +12 TB +16 + 5 TB (temporary it will become an 18 TB) plus 2 1TB nvmi in raid 1 as cache I'm just wondering if I need to make any particular changes before switching, or what do you recommend I do? I read in a topic that it was written that you need to enter a command for Threadripper and Zen 3. does anyone know what to include?

Hi everyone, at the moment I have a rack case ( UNYKAch Box Rack 4U 19″ UK 4329 USB Type C 8 hdd) with 3 hdd expansion from 5.25 but alas inside there is little space for disks and cables, and for the rest of the components, I am looking for a rack case (maximum depth 600mm) with enough hhd slot (at least 16hhd ) in view of the cpu and motherboard upgrade, I don't have a sas card so I also need sata, I have 16 sata so all are enough
