  1. I was having the same problem and it was driving me NUTS. Thanks for posting this!!!
  2. Hi, Like many here (I suspect), my home server (currently an ageing QNAP) has a dual home & work purpose. On the domestic side, I do a lot of video streaming with hardware transcoding (Plex & Emby), photo storage, document sharing, etc. On the business side, I run quite a few containers (docker) to collect data from public APIs (weather, public transport, traffic, etc.) and to serve local users (Overpass server --> Open-Street Maps), and also store large amounts of data. I am planning to run 4x 14Tb Iron Wolf Pro as storage (with 1 drive for redundancy), but I am still unsure about how much more hardware I need for the rest, as I have no idea of what Unraid's overhead is. My current intention is to run a core i5 13500, as that has a pretty beefy iGPU, which would solve my hardware encoding (video, at least) for years to come, and enough cores to run all my containers without interfering with data access speeds or just downright freezing the machine. I don't have a strict budget, but the specs below are currently sitting at AUD1700 (US$1,100), which feels about right. Cooler Master MicroATX Silencio S400 Case MCS-S400-KN5N-S00 ASUS S1700 MicroATX TUF GAMING B760M-PLUS WIFI DDR4 Motherboard Intel S1700 Core i5 13500 14 Core CPU BX8071513500 64GB DDR4 Corsair CMK64GX4M2E3200C16 (2 x 32GB) 3200MHz Vengeance LPX Ram 1TB Samsung 990 PRO M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD MZ-V9P1T0BW (system) 550 Watt Thermaltake Toughpower SFX GOLD Modular PS-STP-0550FNFAGA-1 Power Supply Is there any component that sounds like particularly under or over-specified? Any component that is just downright inadequate? Should I consider changing the form factor to something like ATX to get a better/more reliable motherboard? What about buffers? Do I get bigger (or a 2nd) SSD for read/write buffers? The ability of having at least 64Gb of RAM, with possibly 128 in the future is good, but not critical, but fast networking is something I do need, and 2.5Gbps is about right for my needs in the near to medium future.
