A bit off track, but kind along the theme... hardware. I am thinking about upgrading my case to something like (if not exactly) this:

My current MB is an ASUS Z690-A Prime DDR5 Intel LGA 1700 ATX Motherboard with the Intel Core i7-13700K Raptor Lake 3.4GHz Sixteen-Core LGA 1700. I have seven 10 TB SAS Drives running off of a couple of HP 660088-001 H220 HOST BUS ADAPTER - 650933-B21's - as well as 2TB NVME and a few other SATA SSD's. I intend to move all of these items to the new Supermicro chassis as necessary.
My main question is about the included BPN-SAS826-2PT direct attach backplane and how it will connect to the MB? Do I need to keep both of my HP Host Bus Adapters and connect them to the new backplane? Since I have not built anything like this yet, I really don't quite understand how it all works with this type of configuration. Additionally, if/when I load my existing drives into the new chassis do my SAS drives (all drives for that matter) need to be connected to the new backplane in a particular order or sequence so that my 1 parity and 6 other drives in the array come back to life and function normally - restoring my data, containers, vm's and such like they exist today? Or does Unraid know the drives by serial number or something - regardless of their connection address?
Thanks for all the help.
