  1. I would love to get nagios going on my unraid box though I'm unsure what would be the best way to go about it. I am in the process of setting up a nagios server so once it is set up I will look into getting it run on unraid. I'm not even sure how to get most of the advanced stats like current bandwidth and connected users displayed locally let alone get them exported across the network though. Also Billk, I believe that Nmap more intend for initial discovering of network devices rather than a constant monitor of them. This is where nagios could be used, in fact the guys over at the official forum are trying to combine the two programs (nagios + nmap). http://www.meulie.net/portal_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?11185.0#post_11252
  2. Thanks for the replies. I actually ended up using a spare sunix 4 port card i had http://www.sunix.com.tw/it/en/Product_Detail.php?cate=2&class_a_id=34&sid=367 Would there be much of a difference between the two cards? I will eventually need to get another one and I'm wondering if it would really be worth going for the promise one considering it's twice the price.
  3. Hi, I've just started my unRAID server and I have already hit the limit of 4 sata drives on my motherboard (ga-945gzm-s2) so I am looking to get a decent sata card. From what I have read on the forums and also on the wiki the Promise sata3000 tx4 seems to be the way to go http://www.promise.com/product/product_detail_eng.asp?segment=Non-RAID%20HBAs&product_id=139 I just want to confirm that it is a decent card and that it will work with unRAID. Sorry to go over something that is most likely very obvious to everyone but I just want to be certain ( I don't like the idea of getting the wrong one )
