rcu_preempt self-detected stall on CPU crashes the server
Someone suggested to do a memory check, so I tried it with Memtest86+ and got around 150 errors. I think I found the culprit

rcu_preempt self-detected stall on CPU crashes the server
Hi, I had Unraid running stable, besides some hiccups here and there. But since a few weeks my server is crashing every few days, so I enabled syslogs (attached below). It says very frequent and one of the last messages before crashing was a rcu_preempt self-detected stall on CPU part. Does maybe someone know a way to fix it ? Or is it maybe a sign of a dying CPU/Hardware? syslog-192.168.12.172 (1).log

All containers gone after restart, can't reinstall them
This did indeed work, thank you. But do you maybe have little background why my dockers died on me?

All containers gone after restart, can't reinstall them
Hi, I shutdown my server yesterday and booted it up today just to find all, except 3, containers are gone. I can't really tell what went wrong. Before I tried all my best to fix this: I could start the 3 left container but they had errors, for example Redis: Warning: no config file specified, using the default config. In order to specify a config file use redis-server /path/to/redis.conf If I tried to install a container that I previous had, following error occur: failed to register layer: rename /var/lib/docker/image/btrfs/layerdb/tmp/write-set-794137828 /var/lib/docker/image/btrfs/layerdb/sha256/ba79b2c0127890636a791eb3ec3993cce08a50cc01fcb1513f0e8fbae41977af: file exists But the folder /var/lib/docker/image/btrfs/layerdb/tmp/ is empty If I tried to install a container I never had before, the same error was showed. Diagnostics before I did something: homelab-diagnostics-20241118-1057.zip After I tried all my best to fix this: If I try to install an App I previously had (even if I click remove from previous owned apps) the following error occurs now: The same error occurs. But I can install container that I didn't had installed prior to my accident. Diagnostics after I did something: homelab-diagnostics-20241118-1224.zip Things that had been done: - docker system prune -a (removed all dockers that were left) - i deleted the docker.img under system - tried to restart Everything else seems to work normal in Unraid, all addons, all tools etc just work fine. I have made backups with the addon Appdata Backup. Could I just reset the whole docker thing on Unraid an just reinstall all container and than restore the backup? I don't even know what caused the error, maybe some of you can help me, thank you!

Hardware suitable for gaming, NAS, Usenet and more ?
Hi, I have found an offer for an used gaming rig, with the following parts: CPU: intel i5 9600K Boost 4,6 GHz RAM: (2x8 GB) 16 GB DDR4 Crucial Ballistix Sport 3000 MHz Mainboard: MSI Z370-A PRO, LGA 1151, VGA, DVI-D, DisplayPort, 1x M.2, 8x USB 3.1 Gen1 & 6x USB 2.0, ATX Mainboard Cooler: be quiet! Pure Rock Power: COOLER MASTER MasterWatt Lite 500W 230V Case: be quiet! Pure Base 600 OS SSD: SanDisk Ultra 3D SSD 1 TB If will buy some more HDDs for the NAS part. Also I want to buy a GPU later on, because I don't want to spent so much at once. My Use Cases: run a NAS Jellyfin or Plex (maybe will need some transcoding) Usenet services Home Assistant (maybe) Adguard or PiHole and or VPN use the PC for gaming So my questions are, if the components will hold up to my needs. Also how is the performance for gaming ? Is it possible to play multiplayer games or is the lag unbearable ? If you have other recommendations for PC parts, I am open to it, I have no problem buying used stuff, because my budget is limited. Around 300€, at very very very max 400 for the parts, without HDD.
