  1. Long story friends. My Data Hoarding is becoming an issue with the wife and I. Sadly, cant stop, wont stop. Currently have a very nice cube tower from Fractal Design. Housing a mini ATX with a Radan 5, 2 SSD Cache Drive and 10 3.5 WD Reds. I am maxing out on space with my 3.5 Reds. Use purposes have changed, using the cache for a lot more locally needed data, video editing, etc. I use other machines on my LAN to access those files and do the edits. As far as the 3.5's go, I would like to add more drives and then slowly upgrade lower capacity WD Reds. I would like to move to a rack instead of the Fractal Tower. I also would love to not break the bank on the racks, chassis, etc. Money better used for new Reds and an eventual motherboard, CPU upgrade. So..... Brand new at Server Racks and Chassis build out. Have done a bunch of towers. Looking to have one rack with the current ATX board, CPU, Memory and the Cache Drives. Connect this to a HD Rack for the 10 drives with extra empty bays. I know I can spend hours trying to figure this out, going back and forth from the Forums to NewEgg, etc. End of the day I trust this community and know I am not the smartest one. Thank you for your time and suggestions.
  2. I have looked on these forums for help. I have DNS, but disabled SSL to attempt local access. I have full ssh access, all my containers along with their ports are all working with web interfaces. I am unable to figure out any way to get into the Web GUI since adding the Connect Plugin and then updating unRaid OS. I apologize if I missed a solution on the forum. I am pulling my hair out here. greenmountain-diagnostics-20230515-1517.zip
  3. Hope you received a hug the past few months, sounds like you need one. USB goes in the USB port. Kinda a thing since the 90s. So 30 year old technology.... Put the thingy into the thingy that fits, Eyesight is best or use tactile fingers. No reason for this initial message. Grow up troll and aspire to become an Elf or something. Finally, if you want to be taken seriously by Customer Service, don't include Obnoxious or Hacker in your name. This is not an AOL chat room.
  4. THANK YOU ALL DEARLY!!!! It was 100% the controller. I thought I was going crazy when trurl said it was due to connection issues. Since everything was connected securely. JorgeB thanks for linked post. Both of you are rockstars!!!! I promise to get a UPS once the new home flooring is done. My wife will only humor my data storage addiction so far. Will also do my best to start educating myself on reading the diagnostics. Thank you both again for your time and help to a stranger. I hope you have a fantastic week and will do my best to pay your kindness forward.
  5. I removed it from the array, not physically removed it. I know about UPS, just moved into a new home and its on the list. No connections, power or sata have been touched in weeks. All running fine with multiple Parity checks healthy prior to the power outage.
  6. I would consider myself a normal to almost advanced user in all things tech. Not a prosumer, but hopefully one day. I totally knew when this was going to be an issue and wish there was a way to prevent it. Long story short, there was a parity check, during mover, while items where being download to the drive and then my power went out. I recently updated half of my array to new 12 tb drive and forgot to set up proper schedules so all the above would never happen at once. It was my mistake. I am looking to get the array back to health and things moving as normal. I tried to remove disk 7 restart the array, then add disk 7 back so the parity would fix it all with minor data loss. Now all I am getting is read errors. Please any advice going forward with minimum data loss would be great. Thank you all. greenmountain-diagnostics-20210430-1326.zip

  8. Long story short, just updated my FreeNAS rig to unRaid. Purchased several 8TB drives, new and one is reporting errors already. Been up for a few days. Its my parity drive.
