Unraid blocking rtsp / udp connections for DVB-C?
Hey there, after two days of trying, I am running out of ideas on how to fix the issue, I really hope someone can help me clarify the situation.. The situation: I have a Fritz!Box 6660 cable, that allows me to watch up to 4 TV streams and after testing on multiple devices I can confirm it works properly. Based on this post, I found out that the initial connection is made via tcp port 554 and then the stream goes through udp port 5000 & 5001 / 5002 & 5003 / 5004 & 5005 or 5006 & 5007, depending on the number of parallel streams (up to 4 possible, see above). Since am sharing my internet connection, I segmented the network: Fritz!Box (ISP router, router mode) <--> UDM Pro (my network, router mode) <--> Unraid (inside my network) Now I would like to use Plex, connect it to the Fritz!Box and be able to watch TV and record it. The issue / what I tried already: I installed different Plex docker containers and Jellyfin, but none of them seem to find or connect to the Fritz!Box tuner. I checked my firewall on the UDM Pro and verified with a ping and curl from inside the Plex container, that the Fritz!Box is accessible. Everything working fine here: When plugging the Unraid server straight into to the Fritz!Box, everything is working fine. Plex can find the tuner, TV channels can be watched. After plugging the Unraid server back into my network, Plex can not connect to the tuner anymore. (always: shutdown, network change, reboot) I installed an xTeVe docker container alongside Plex, imported the .m3u playlist and used this with Plex, but while the tuner can be found (same network) the TV streams can not be loaded. xTeVe log shows: xTeVe is no longer involved, the client connects directly to the streaming server. I verified with WireShark and a tcp connection on port 554 s made, but the udp connection is missing: After wasting a lot of time on trying different ideas, I tried to stream TV on different devices and to my surprise, they all work flawlessly, just not those installed on unraid.. iOS with the Fritz! TV App; no problems PC with VLC and .m3u playlist (same as for xTeVe); no problems Plex (linuxserver or official) and Jellyfin still not working At first I didn't think it would be possible, but it lead me to believe that the Unraid server itself is doing something strange with routing or even blocking some connections, when connected to a different network with firewall (here 192.168.4.0/16) than the destination address (in my case 192.168.178.1). The question now is am I missing some settings somewhere or how else can I resolve this issue? Please let me know if I can provide any additional information. Thank you for your time reading this : )
