  1. thanks for that, but when i try and run the last line, i get.. "sudo: update-initramfs: command not found"
  2. hey all, trying to work through the 19 pages of this post, but kind of scratching my head.. I have an intel N5105 CPU with an igpu which is good for hw transcoding.. I have followed as much as I can but still cannot get HW encoding working.. Is there an up to date guide on how to get it working??
  3. hey all, I have recently started the process of building a low powered NAS server running on unraid around a new N5105 NAS Motherboard. I used the Wolfgang Channels video on a low powered NAS box (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjDoQA4C22c). I was not going to use it for anything super strenuous, just to run a few dockers (torrents, Unifi controller, all the arrs, etc.. ) and SMB shares for windows, but mainly as a PLEX server. I was going to use the iGPU for any hardware transcoding for remote access (just dropped my oldest to University today, so it will be mainly him) I have used the same mobo and CPU, 32gb RAM, same PSU and case. as in the video. For the drives I am reusing the ones in my existing Windows Server as well as a new 16tb Parity Drive and a couple of 256gb SSD's for Caching. In total I have the following drives. 2 x 16tb HDD 1 x 12tb HDD 1 x 5tb HDD 2 x 256gb SSD I was going to use 1 x 16tb as parity, 1 x16tb & 1 x 12tb as the array, 1 x 5tb as a "landing zone" for torrents for seeding etc that will then be copied to the array.. By doing this the array drives will not constantly be spun up while seeding, and the 2 x 256gb SSD's for caching.. Doe this sound like the best way to set up the drives? Is there any other recommendations?? Thanks in advance..
