Failed disk??
I swapped out the whole power splitter. And that did in fact resolve the issue. must have been an issue smoehwere in the whole cable.

Failed disk??
Changing the power connector didn't help same issue, errors out after a minute or so at 1024. I did order another power cable its a 5 port extension cable. so I can replace the whole cable it should be here tomorrow but I am not holding my breath. I am emtpying the contents of the offline disk as i try things, I might see if I can get it as empty as possible and then rebuild the configuration, but that is going to take awhile its a 20 TB disk that had 16 TB of data on it I am about half way done.

Failed disk??
I will need to order another power cable I unfortunatly do not have that lying around, I do have a few available connectors so I will try skipping one for now to see what happens while I wait for a new cable. Thanks

Failed disk??
Generally errors out real quick at 1024. I replaced, cable, SAS card and DISK. Same behavior each time

Failed disk??
I had a disk report read errors repeatedly, replaced cables etc. No Change in behavior. So i RMA'd the original disk and replaced it, but now with the replacement disk I am getting the exact same number of read errors when rebuilding parity. Not really sure where to proceed from here. unraid-diagnostics-20250721-1246.zip

Disk replacement, now parity errors.
I guess if anyone wants to know or looks up this thread, I replaced both cables, but there were partiy errors for sure. So I put the old disk back in after replacing new cables, and then went into tools>>New config, I built a new config but I saved all the disk locations, so it essentially just deleted parity, and it rebuilt fine from the old disk. I am now back to where I was before, replaced the smaller drive with the bigger drive and rebuilding that disk, I am about 3 hours in, no errors.

I only had the 1 spare cable on hand, I ordered another I will replace it when it gets here tomorrow and give it a shot.

Disk replacement, now parity errors.
Okay quick rundown, previous parity disk was 18tb, I bought a 20 TB disk, I swapped out my parity disk, it recalculated parity just fine. I then went to replace an 8tb array disk with the former 18 tb parity disk and ran into problems, I started messing with drives, locating them etc. Cause I hadnt done that and it was a pain in the ass finding stuff. replaced 8tb array disk with 18tb disk and all hell broke loose. I kept getting read errors on random disks during the disk rebuild. I noticed that it happened to one or more of the 4 drives connected to my SAS HBA, so I replaced that cable. It appears that solved the issue, however now I am attempting to rebuild the disk again, and get errors on the newly added disk instead of read errors on the others. I am currently running a read check and it has already returned errors on the parity disk, so I am assuming during the failed rebuilds with the bad cable I got some corruption, errors whatever it may be. So now I have no DISK 5 because that was the disk I replaced, I cannot roll back to the old disk as it already thinks it needs to be 18 tb not 8 tb. And I cannot rebuild because of parity errors. Where do I proceed from here? I do have some spare 8tb disks, can I add a disk to the array in its current state or will that fail too? I could also copy the data to an unassigned disk, then just remove disk 5 from the array I guess run a parity check with fix errors, then copy the data back? It's just media, but its 7.66 TB of media I would HIGHLY prefer not to download again. It's really not the end of the world but not ideal either, plus this gives me the opportunity to figure it out while its not important data. I did attach diagnostics for shits and giggles, but I feel like its mostly obvious? but what do I know. Thanks!

Parity Disk in error state & Disabled
I hooked the drive up to my computer and tried to run a bunch of tests on it all which just fail instantly Seatools etc. Parity is reubuilding on my array with my old smaller disk happily, I am going to RMA this drive. Thanks so much for the help!

Parity Disk in error state & Disabled
Smart short test shows no errors, however when I attempted to put it back in and rebuild parity it failed almost instantly. It did take maybe a minute or two then failed. I can upload logs again, I actually remvoed it and put in my old parity disk to get it rolling again. I am going to run drive diagnostics offline so I can get my array running and protected again.

Parity Disk in error state & Disabled
Woke up to an alert my partiy disk was disabled due to errors, see some other posts regarding it and people reviewed the diagnostics to determine if it is actually bad or not, wondering if its possible to have that done for me, I might try and review the diagnostics myself but admittedly don't know where and what I am looking for exactly. Thanks!
