Networking Settings with 2.5 gbe USB
****Sorry meant to post this to Genearl Support Greetings, A bit a of a networking noob. I have a mini pc with it's 1gb ethernet port connected as eth0, and a 2.5 gbe usb adapter connected as eth1. I'm looking for advice on how I should have this configured so my system is just using the 2.5 gbe connection. I imagine I can just unplug the 1gbe connection. I started by giving them both a seperate IP address, but I got a message saying that it's probably not correct for them both to be have similar IP addresses (ie one eth0 192.168.1.50 and eth1 is 192.168.86.51). So I just pulled the plug on the 1gbe connection. That seems to work aside from the message that it is disconnected and br0 is down. But Docker containers work and Unraid has internet. Is this okay? Is there a better way to configure this? Harm in having them both connected? Should I be using both connections and one as failover? Trying to keep things simple at first but if there's a more ideal way of setting this up I'm all ears. My main use for this would be working directly over a 2.5 gbe connection through SMB for video projects. As well as Resilio Sync being able to use the higher speed for file syncing with another 2.5 gbe server. Thank you.

Rsnapshot for SMB Shares
Hello, I'm trying to work up a system similar to Synolgoy Snapshot Replication. I have a share that holds a lot of media (tv, music, movies) and is accesible via SMB. Would it be possible to use Rsnapshot to save snapshots of those files to a different share that is only accessible by root? I don't have much experience with Rsnapshot and I'm also not certain if those snapshots only take up extra space based on file changes, or if it'll actually need to re-copy all of my files first essentially doubling the amount of storage it takes up. I'm just a little afraid of accidentally deleting files or some ransomware locking files through SMB. Everything is backed up offsite, but snapshots would definitely be a plus. share 1 -> media = 20tb of tv and movies accessible by a few users with password protection share 2 -> media-snapshots = snapshots of everything in the media share not avaialble via smb, only availalbe to root

Mixed Storage Setup
Greetings, Wanted some feedback and a sanity check on my setup. I'm currently running 1 x 2tb NVME as data storage (Disk 1 under Array Devices) and 1x 512GB SSD as cache in my Pool Devices. I'm going to be adding 4x 12TB HDDs. My thought was to use ... 2TB NVME as a data drive for appdata/docker and VMs. No parity needed, it's already on a good backup solution. 512GB SSD as cache. 4x 12TB HDDs for data and media storage. Using three drives for storage and one as parity. Any advice on how I should be setting this up? Is it possible to set this up without nuking the data on my existing 2TB NVME? My basic understanding is that I would probably have to set this up so my 512gb SSD is a cache drive, my 2tb NVME is a seperate cache pool device, and then my 4 HDDs become the array devices.
