  1. I tried the laptop downloading with no issues. So I flashed a new ROM on my phone and was going great at about 6mbs when at about 20% it stopped. Aghhhhhhhhh. This is driving me nuts.
  2. The laptop is about 7 years old so guess it doesn't have gigabit
  3. To be honest I haven't really tried moving large files on other devices. I'll get out my laptop and give it a go and see if it works ok.
  4. No issues when using wired, get 8 to 10 mbs. I thought it was a wifi issue that's why i splashed on a new router.
  5. I have a HP Microserver that was connect to a TP Link router which i have just upgraded to a Asus RT-AD68U AC1900. The issue is is transfer large files from my Oneplus One phone to the server and it keeps dropping the connection, it stops the transfer for a few seconds and then might restart and sometimes after a 5 to 10 sec it fails. The speed is all over he place. I thought it was the router so I thought it was time to upgrade but I still have this issue. I have only had this issue for a few months and tried everything to solve it. At one point I was getting a good solid speed now when trying to transfer a 4gb file it might get to 15% and fail. Im running Unraid 5.0.5 I was hoping that it was the router that was the issue but its not. Any ideas what could be causing this.
  6. When I restarted it I remounted in the server, HP microserver, and this seems to have fixed the issue. Thanks for all the help.
  7. Can someone have a look to make sure my preclear went well. Thanks in advance. syslog_30.3.txt
  8. I'm preclear in the correct drive at the moment and 12 hrs in and nearly finished. I am so lucky I didn't lose anything
  9. I will post the preclear report when I get back hope, 6+ hrs. I just like the idea of running preclear before adding to the array. Deffo the wrong drive as only have two 3tb drives.
  10. Was disk 1 but checked and everything is there ad working.
  11. I have gone in directly to disk 1 & 2 and played movies from them so data is still there. I've discovered something strange then. :-)
  12. I'm a idiot. Was trying to preclear in a drive in the array. Changed to correct drive and flying along.
  13. I am preclearing a Seagate 3tb HD to use as my parity and its been running for 6 days so far. I know I choose three cycles just to be sure and am worried it will be another 12 days. see attached screen shot.
  14. I had an issue with the preclear not working last time. Has it worked this time. Thanks syslog-2014-03-03.txt
  15. I have rerun the preclear on two drives. Did I work this time, more worried about the 3tb Drive than the 250gb as that drive is only new. syslog-2014-03-03.txt
  16. I assume I can just stop the array. Remove disk 2 and preclear it again. And just add it back it once complete. Also check cables. I have about 1tb of info written to disk one. Will this need to redone?
  17. Using unraid 5.0.5 and the issue drive is a WD 2tb green drive and using a Hp microserver which is brand spanking new.
  18. I am just after starting,my server. Copied across some of my data and all looking good. I have even transfered files from my phone over wifi. Was trying to send a file to the server and keeps telling me request refused. I have noticed there are 34k errors on disk 2.......wtf This is a copy of the log. /usr/bin/tail -f /var/log/syslog Mar 1 20:00:50 HPServer shfs/user: shfs_read: read: (5) Input/output error Mar 1 20:00:50 HPServer shfs/user: shfs_read: read: (5) Input/output error Mar 1 20:00:50 HPServer kernel: quiet_error: 8 callbacks suppressed Mar 1 20:00:50 HPServer kernel: Buffer I/O error on device md2, logical block 459966465 Mar 1 20:00:50 HPServer kernel: Buffer I/O error on device md2, logical block 459966465 Mar 1 20:00:50 HPServer shfs/user: shfs_read: read: (5) Input/output error Mar 1 20:00:50 HPServer shfs/user: shfs_read: read: (5) Input/output error Mar 1 20:00:50 HPServer kernel: Buffer I/O error on device md2, logical block 459966469 Mar 1 20:00:50 HPServer kernel: Buffer I/O error on device md2, logical block 459966469 Mar 1 20:01:08 HPServer kernel: program smartctl is using a deprecated SCSI ioctl, please convert it to SG_IO Any ideas. Disk 2 keeps flashing green and white even if I try and spin it up. With in a few mins it back to flashing again. Spin down is set to 1hr. And reports that disk is blank.
