  1. I already tried (unsuccessfully) using the jellyfin phone app to cast to my TV. What other options do I have to "use my phone" to cast media to my TV from unraid? Your reply doesn't give a lot of intel into HOW to use my phone for my usecase....

  3. Hi all, I'm completely new to this topic. I repurposed an old PC i had laying around and installed unraid onto that. I got it all working so far as a basic NAS. Now I wanted to look into being able to stream some media (Photos, Videos) from the server to my TV. I was thinking it should be able to "simply" stream the media to my chromecast, which is connected to my TV. (Note: it is a pretty old chromecast; no remote, nothing) So I did a bit of googling and found out if you use a media server on unraid (like jellyfin or plex) you can manage your media and also stream it to different devices. So i tried out jellyfin and set it all up and also added some (test) media files to the unraid server. Jellyfin is able to play them no problem, but I am unable to stream them to anywhere basically (Google Cast Unsupported). After some more googling, I found out that a chromecast needs a https connection and jellyfin can't do that, so I have to use a reverse proxy or something? At this point my technical network knowledge comes to an end. So my question would be: Is there an "easy" way to stream media files that i put on the unraid server to my tv?
