  1. Hi everyone, I’ve been unsuccessfully trying to use Restic for backing up my appdata to the cloud. After hitting a roadblock, I’m considering a different approach: setting the appdata backup script’s target directory directly to a mounted online storage (specifically a Hetzner Storage Box, mounted as an SMB share). My main question is whether it’s generally advisable to point the appdata backup script to an online storage mount as its backup destination. Are there any potential risks, performance issues, or other drawbacks to this approach? Would love to hear if anyone else has tried this setup or if there are any known limitations to keep in mind. Thanks in advance for any insights!
  2. Thank your checking the logs and suggesting the next steps.
  3. Apologies again, you were right, I didn't upload the syslog log file but the "bug report" generated files. I'll attach the syslog now. syslog.txt
  4. I see. Unless I’m completely mistaken then what I’ve uploaded was the contents of the syslog folder. I’ll double check in a few hours and let you know.
  5. Apologies for the confusing remote server setting, it actually is the ip of the server it is about. I’ve now enabled the mirror to flash drive. I’ll answer here the next time the issue happens. Thanks for your help so far.
  6. Here is a screenshot of the syslog settings.
  7. I actually did enable the syslog server after the crash before so I hoped the log log now includes the relevant data. Maybe I’ve misconfigured it through if it’s not in there.
  8. Hi, I'm experiencing an issue with my Unraid server where it occasionally seems to crash. By "crash," I mean that I can no longer access Unraid itself through the browser using its IP address. However, I can still access certain Docker containers by appending the port number to the IP. For example, SABnzbd displayed an error stating that it couldn't access the directory connected via a volume to the container. Some Docker containers remain functional, but Unraid itself becomes inaccessible, which is quite puzzling to me. I'm attaching the log files hoping someone might spot something I missed. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this issue? It happens once or twice a week. Thanks in advance for your help! mediaserver-diagnostics-20240514-2150.zip
  9. Is there a way you’d recommend how I can find out what it could be?
  10. Hi, I’m trying to figure out why my parity check es estimated to run for >3 days at ~13MB/s speed. This particular parity check was automatically started after Unraid crashed (Unraid web UI unreachable, some Docker containers remained reachable). The usual parity checks run at the same speed though. Reading about speeds in other threads in this forum, I assume it should be a bit faster. I’ve tried shutting down all docker containers, which didn’t make a difference. I’ve attached disagnostics and versions of apps below. Please let me know if I missed any helpful information. 11. Thank you very much for your guide. I just wanted to give feedback having just gone through your steps to fix this issue for me so that it might help others. I did all the steps you mentioned except for deleting the config and only restarted Unraid at the end. It didn’t work until I restarted Unraid, so this step seems to be required.
