  1. I said I have backups enabled, but those are also empty worlds. I will just accept that then, I guess it happens with a game in alpha
  2. Hello! Was reading through the recent posts a bit, but couldn't find anything about this. So I came back from holiday, and saw there was an update for Palworld. Could not connect to the server anymore, I assumed because it also needed to be updated. So I restarted the Docker, and logged in... And the world was reset. Still had my levels, my character, but the world is gone. I have backups enabled, but the latest backup world is also empty. Is this a common issue? Thanks in advance!
  3. I upgraded my Unraid, didn't know there was a new version. I completely removed the docker again, and deleted all the files. Then I installed it again, without changing anything. Now I can connect fine, with the default password 'Docker', and an error if I dont put one. All is well. Then I switch the save folder with my backup, so the world and the players. And now the password protection is no longer working. To be clear what that means: I can connect to the server without checking the box to enter a password, but I can also connect by checking it, and entering anything into the field, the right one, a wrong one, or nothing at all. So I guess something is wrong with my save? I guess I'm just gonna live with that then.
  4. It seems there are quite a few things I don't know yet about how Unraid actually works, my apologies. I also removed my upvote. This is the appdata share settings now, 'Use cache pool' as set to 'Prefer' before, I set it to 'Only' now. I also checked in the user folder, and indeed I find the same folder structure there for Palworld, down to the config file, which has the same changes I made to it: max pals in base =20 and my custom password. So, if the custom password is on both locations (user and cache), should it not work either way? After changing the settings like in the screenshot (with palserver not running) and then starting it up, nothing changed, I can still connect without a password. Or with a wrong password. Oh, I also changed the port today, in the container settings, that worked as expected, I can now only connect under the new port.
  5. Hm I can try reinstalling the docker. Here are my paths, seems default to me: /serverdata/steamcmd -> /mnt/user/appdata/steamcmd /serverdata/serverfiles -> /mnt/cache/appdata/palworld
  6. It is updated in the config file, yes, I shut down the server before changing it, and checked after restarting it that the config file still had my new password. Either way, not needing a password at all means something changed, right? Since the default setup has a password.
  7. Sorry about that! Forgot that this topic is about all of the variants at once. I edited my post. I ask specifically about a Palworld server.
  8. Hey all! Sorry if this issue has been posted before, I searched through the topic and could not find it. So I played for a few weeks now with a friend via co-op. Yesterday we decided to move to e dedicated server, so it's always up and I dont need to be online so he can play. Since I already had an Unraid server running, it didn't take long until I had this container running. Copying over our world and saves took a bit more time but we made it. All is fine, we played for a few hours on the server. However, I noticed that there seems to be a password issue. I only changed the server password from the default to something else, but it seems it actually does not matter. My friend and I can connect to the server, just by entering my IP and the port, no password needed. Either we leave the box unchecked, or we check it and enter whatever, we can connect in all cases. Now I am worried to leave the server running, in fear someone else might connect and ruin our world or what not. Has anyone experienced this? What could be the cause? Thanks! EDIT: Sorry, forgot this is for more than one game! I use the server for Palworld.
