  1. Here is the diskspeed of the 2 disks. It does not give me any disk speed for the usb controller. I'm not sure about writing it to a different disk, I just wrote it to the /mnt/user directory. I can definitely try to write it to another individual drive and see what happens. Drive ID: sda (nvme) Vendor: SSDPEMKF Model: 256G8 NVMe I Serial Number: DD56419883B1F Revision: 0 Capacity: 256GB Logical/Physical Sector Size: 512/4096 Drive ID: sdh (Disk 2) Vendor: Seagate Model: ST14000NM0121 Serial Number: ZKL2SDQ7 Revision: SN01 Capacity: 14TB RPM: 7200 Signaling Speed: 6.0Gb/s Logical/Physical Sector Size: 512/4096 Multiple Sector Transfer: 16 (Current & Max)
  2. Well that's shit... My m920q doesn't have esata so I can't connect it that way. And I just spent $400 on this stupid MediaSonic box that I can't return because people said a DAS would be fine... So many conflicting answers it's unreal.
  3. Sometimes file transfers work great on Unraid. Like if I'm transferring between 2 regular hard drives I can reach 200 MB/s, but most times it will start that way, then get reduced to 12 MB/s or lower. Sometimes under 1 MB/s and I don't know why. If I am doing a transfer between Unraid and Windows, usually it will stall so bad that I have to reboot the Unraid server uncleanly because it makes it so unbearable. For my setup, I have all the regular HDD's in a Mediasonic 8 bay DAS with 3.0 usb and plugged into a 5 gbps port in my m920q server. I have included diagnostics while I was using midnight commander and it started off at great rates, but fell to about 12 MB/s for the rest of the transfers. Hopefully someone can help me out. Thanks. server-diagnostics-20250427-0412.zip
  4. Thanks, and thanks for the tip on appdata! Very helpful. Do you know how to make it so any future folders made or files made will have those permissions by default? I keep finding files and stuff I don't have access to and I have to keep re-running it or doing it manually.
  5. First of all, I am not having issues getting my shares to read on my Windows machines, but I want my Windows machines to have permission to write to folders. I have all my docker containers set to nobody:users like suggested, but I have to set my media folders that way too else they won't work proper with the containers. I want to be able to add, delete, etc from my Windows machines. I have a user that is set up with read/write in the users tab, but it doesn't work for this issue. The only thing I can do is chmod 757 or 777 the folders so I have permission, but that obviously isn't the right way to go.
  6. Thanks so much! I'll give these a try
  7. I was afraid of that lol. Do you by any chance know what this error is, I get it on array startup as well: "VM autostart disabled. vfio-pci-errors. VM autostart disabled due to vfio-bind error." I don't currently have any VM's set up, accidentally blew them away with the new config, but I want to set them back up again.
  8. It takes about 10-15 seconds to start if docker is disabled.
  9. I recently moved Unraid from my mini pc to a higher powered mini pc, but for some reason, it takes unraid a long time to start on the new one. I did a new config and put in all the old docker containers and everything, but when i turn it on, it tells me to wait for the array to start, on the old one it was started by the time I finished logging in. Also on the new one, the docker containers take about 10 minutes to autostart, its extremely slow. Attached are my diag files for a bootup. mini-pc-syslog-20240627-0359.zip
  10. Unfortunately disabling usb ports only just disables it for good. I'm not sure what you mean about the other suggestions?
  11. I can't turn that off because Unraid uses USB to boot.
  12. Hello, I have posted this in hardware section as well, but figured someone might have actual experience with the mediasonic probox in here: I have the HP EliteDesk 800 35W G4 Desktop Mini PC and have a problem on bootup. Whenever I have my Mediasonic Probox (HDD power enclosure) USB device attached, it will freeze the PC on bootup, sometimes for a couple minutes, sometimes until I reboot it. I have no idea what's causing this issue as it doesn't happen on any other PC, not even my beelink mini pc. I know I can set the USB to not turn on until after boot, but I'm running Unraid of course. When I have it plugged in when the PC turns on, it will freeze even if I'm just at the BIOS screen. And it will either unfreeze after 3 minutes or more likely just remain frozen until I turn it off manually. I have tried every option I can think of in the BIOS and nothing helps. I have replaced the USB cable, tried different ports, tried without any hard drives inside the enclosure. Any recommendations as this is super annoying and I will have to return this PC if this cannot be accomplished. Thanks. 14. Thanks for the quick and helpful response! I did the regular Unraid share and so far no errors!
  15. Hi, I have just started using Unraid and I setup mergerfs and it's been working perfectly under /mnt/user/mini-pc. However when I look at the logs, I get this message over and over. Not sure how to fix this, I have included diags. Thanks! mini-pc-diagnostics-20240302-1710.zip
