  1. MaxMuster's post in New System: 3.5"HDDs not recognized was marked as the answer   
    Problem at the end was unfortunately a broken mother board. Somehow the 12v, what is needed for the 3.5hdds, was not delivered. (supply connector in this case comes from the board.
