  1. array_enjoyer's post in Sudden unclean shutdowns ~30-120 minutes after mounting disks was marked as the answer   
    Update: It was indeed faulty cooling. The CPU would start working but the fan would keep starting and stopping after a while and the CPU would overheat > instant shutdown. Replacing the CPU fan fixed the problem.
