Issues with transcoding 4K H.265 with intel i3-8100
I've read in multiple forums that the Intel i3-8100 should be able to transcode HEVC 4K HDR content. However, when I try to transcode my movies (I've tested around 10 different 4K films) from H.265 to Full HD or when converting the container from MKV to MP4, the video stutters every 10 seconds. Tautulli shows that the transcode speed is below 1x. I’m streaming these movies over a local network, and I have a Plex Pass. Since I can play these movies on certain devices in Direct Play without issues, I don’t believe the problem is related to bandwidth or hard drive speed. Plex is installed on my cache drive, Direct Disk Access is enabled, and I’m also using 8GB of RAM for RAM transcoding. I’m using an ASUS Prime H310M motherboard, which I know is a budget model—could that be causing an issue? What else might be causing the problem with transcoding? Thanks for the help!

Creating a MOVIES2 folder solved the problem. Thanks for the support.

Movies Not Showing in Windows Explorer After Uploading to Unraid SMB Share
I have 825 movies in the folder, and when I browse the WebUI of Unraid, I can see them instantly without any problems. My main Windows PC has 32GB of RAM and a GTX1080, but I’m experiencing the same issue across all my Windows laptops and smartphones (with 8GB and 16GB of RAM, respectively). I’ve also attached the diagnostics for further troubleshooting. Thanks in advance for your help! plexmediaserver-diagnostics-20241017-1210.zip

Are there any other ideas what i could do? Maybe I can create a new "MOVIES2" folder and add the movies somehow. Thanks for help!

Movies Not Showing in Windows Explorer After Uploading to Unraid SMB Share
My "streaming_content1" share is set to array only, so there shouldn't be any files in the cache. Movies Not Showing in Windows Explorer After Uploading to Unraid SMB Share
I’m encountering the same issue when trying to browse my SMB share from my second Windows PC and Android phone. I’ve already tried disabling and re-enabling the SMB share, but that didn’t resolve the problem either. Interestingly, when I browse the share using my Raspberry Pi with Thunar, I can see all the files without any issues. This leads me to believe it might not be a problem with the files themselves but rather how the share is being accessed on certain devices. I also tried invoking the Mover, but unfortunately, that didn’t solve the issue.

Movies Not Showing in Windows Explorer After Uploading to Unraid SMB Share
I have an Unraid SMB share with a folder named streaming_content1. Inside that, I have a TV Shows folder where everything works perfectly. However, in the Movies folder, I’m experiencing the following issue: Every time I upload a movie folder from my Windows PC, it no longer appears in the Explorer afterward. When I try to upload the folder again, I get an error message saying the source folder is no longer available on my Windows machine. Interestingly, some movies do appear, but those are the ones I uploaded when I first set up the server. I believe I used the rsync command back then to upload the other movies, but I don’t exactly remember. The files uploaded via rsync are not visible on any of my Windows computers. Now, the issue happens every time I upload a new movie. However, Plex detects all the movies without any issues, and I can also find all the movies in the Unraid WebUI. When I check the permissions, the newly added movies don’t seem to have different permissions from the older ones. Restarting the SMB share didn’t help either. I would still guess it’s a permissions issue. For example, when I access the folder via my Raspberry Pi, I can see all the movies. Unfortunately, I’m not very knowledgeable about this topic. Could someone please help me out? plexmediaserver-diagnostics-20241010-1812.zip

Thank you very much for your help! I believe switching the USB stick has resolved the issue.

Cache Drive Suddenly Full, Unable to Identify Cause
I finally managed to delete the files. Currently, the appdata, domains, isos, and system shares are located on the array. The primary storage is set to the cache, and no secondary storage is configured. How should I configure the shares to move them to the cache? The mover isn't moving them to the cache as expected.

Cache Drive Suddenly Full, Unable to Identify Cause
The folder is not located on the cache, but on Disk 14 in the array. I want to delete it so I can uninstall Plex and reinstall it on the cache. However, I can't delete the Plex folder at the moment. The only option I see is to invoke the mover, but I fear it might cause an infinite loop like it did yesterday. I've already tried rebooting, but that didn't help. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Cache Drive Suddenly Full, Unable to Identify Cause
Since the mover still didn't move anything, I ended up erasing and reinstalling my cache drive. Now I'm encountering an issue while trying to delete Plex. The problem is that it seems impossible to open or delete a specific folder within the Plex directory under the media folder (/mnt/user0/appdata/binhex-plexpass/Plex Media Server/Media/localhost/8/3f9ce283d14fbf587252437b080cf6356bf99f3.bundle/Contents/Indexes/tmp). I can't delete it via terminal or even uninstall Plex—this leads to a server error. When I browse to the folder via the Main tab, it just keeps loading indefinitely or won't show any files inside. Opening the folder through Windows Explorer takes several minutes, and when I finally see the contents, they are just .jpg files. However, attempting to delete even one picture results in extreme slowness, and eventually, an error stating that the file no longer exists. Do you have any ideas on how I can delete this folder and its files? plexmediaserver-diagnostics-20241002-1457.zip

Cache Drive Suddenly Full, Unable to Identify Cause
Thanks, it's working now, and it managed to move about 40GB. However, for the last hour, it's only been reading/writing at around 500KB/s. Is that normal behavior, or could there be an issue slowing it down?

Cache Drive Suddenly Full, Unable to Identify Cause
Yes, I'm trying to move appdata. The primary storage is currently set to the array, and I have not configured any secondary storage. The mover is set to "Not used" and is greyed out, so it can't be triggered. Should I configure the cache as the primary storage and the array as secondary storage, and then invoke the mover? Or is there another configuration that would allow me to move appdata from the cache to the array? Thanks for your help!
