  1. Just clarifying - the issue here was that I was trying to setup an NFS share with no export. That and I have no idea how NFS works :) As soon as that was enabled it all worked as intended.
  2. Hi Guys, Just a bit of background here - I'm a windows guy and not familiar with NFS at all. I purchased an IP CCTV camera, and found after the fact that it can only connect to NFS shares. The problem is the camera settings are very limited - basically all I can specify is a host (IP / Name) and a folder. I've configured an NFS share on Unraid, and set the setting to public. I want the simplest, least secure, easiest method of connection. However, I'm trying to verify if the NFS share works without the camera - for peace of mind / verification. The windows guides (and other forum posts) I've found all include finding a GID and UID. I have no idea how to do that in Unraid, and was kind of hoping I wouldn't need to with security "Public" setting on the share. My questions are: What does the Public setting do exactly? How can I verify a share with no export, set to public, is working - least effort, from a windows machine? - is there a NFS browser I can use? A simple command I can run in Ubuntu (I have Windows Subsystem for Linux)?
