  1. Hello, As the title indicates, IPv6 networking appears to be broken in the latest release. I’m running Home Assistant as a VM bridged directly to the network interface, allowing it to establish a link-local IPv6 address. After updating to version 7.2.0, Google Home was no longer able to access the Matter devices exposed through Home Assistant. Upon investigation, I found that the IPv6 address of the Home Assistant instance was no longer reachable from other devices on the same subnet, whether from another VM on Unraid or a separate physical device. It’s worth noting that Google Home requires IPv6 for Matter, whereas Alexa can fall back to IPv4. After downgrading, IPv6 connectivity was restored, and Google Home was once again able to interact with my Matter devices. diagnostics-20251030_2043.zip
