Solutions

  1. pokekey's post in URGENT: "Key Replacement Failed" was marked as the answer   
    I solved the license problem. (shutdown the system, removed the USB, downloaded the key file, copied that to the USB, reboot, and the admin panel is snowing I now have the Starter license.

    I also figured out the problem logging in. I had some subtle error in the e-mail saved to my password manager. I still can't see it. But fixed by copying the e-mail address from a correct source.
