  1. I originally had 2 2gb sticks of ram in it and it ran for 15 years with no issues. So once it started crashing a few months ago I just replaced both sticks with 2 4gb sticks. I've ran memtest on both different sets of ram with no errors on either. Ddr3 is not exactly easy to find so trying more is not really an option without upgrading the whole motherboard and CPU.
  2. Sorry I couldn't figure out how to add an attachment replying to your post, it wouldn't let me
  3. thank you, I've attached it to my original post
  4. syslog-192.168.1.96.log Can't figure out for the life of me why my unraid server keeps randomly restarting. I'm running the latest 7.2.4 on a pretty simple setup with 3 data drives and 1 parity drive, no cache drives. My hardware is fairly old with an AMD Athlon™ II X2 250 @ 3000 MHz processor and 8gb of ddr3 ram. Since the crashing started I have replaced the power supply, with a new corsair 750 watt, and just replaced the ram with 2 4gb sticks of ddr3. Turns out neither of these were causing the issues. As it still randomly restarts when sitting idle about once a week. I've ran memtest 86 on the old ram and the new ram with no errors showing. Not sure what else would be causing the random restarts. My usb stick is fairly old but checks out with no errors, testing on windows. I'm only running 1 plex docker (linuxserver version) as I use the server for streaming. It never crashes while being used, only when sitting idle. I have syslog setup on 1 of my data drives, and have uploaded the file here trying to see if I could see any errors when it shuts down, but can't see anything definitive. I'm a newbie when it comes to unraid so go easy on me. Thanks tower-diagnostics-20260319-1641.zip
  5. figured out the file manager option in unraid 7.2 and am now copying all files off my one drive to the other. Any tips on removing the bad drive once my transfer completes?
  6. Seems I can't post a screenshot image here but under mover settings it says no cache drive present and gives me no options to use it?
  7. Yes I am on the latest 7.2 version of unraid. Mover is not available without a cache drive apparently. I'm not very good using command lines so would prefer not to go that route. Was messing around with unbalance trying to figure it out. Not sure how to use the file manager either
  8. I did read this and tried it but apparently mover does not work if you don't have a cache drive which I do not.
  9. I'm a little bit confused on how to do this so please go easy on me as I'm an unraid novice. I have added a new drive to my unraid array. I have 1 drive that has smart errors and is failing and I want to transfer all data from this drive to the new one. The only problem with swapping out the old drive with the new one is the old drive is still running the old reiserfs filesystem. So if I simply do a drive swap with the new drive parity will restore the new drive with the old filesystem. I want everything to be xfs now. So how do I move everything from my old disk 1 over to the new disk 4 in the array? I have 4 data drives and then ofcourse the parity drive. Thanks
