  1. Thanks for the responses, my connection is 1gig up and down, internal at least in my office with all my machines is 10Gbe. My router has a couple of 10Gbe ports so it can be run to the rest of the house once they get ethernet upgrades. Like I posted above, no VMs or dockers for now, but I do a little video editing sometimes, not anything for work. This is all purely for personal use, I don't work in IT etc.
  2. The NVME currently in use is a 2TB, while the SATA SSD is a 4TB, so I was thinking a larger cache might come in handy if the speed isn't a big deal.
  3. Greetings, first time poster here. Like everyone else. I'm dealing with the high cost of storage during this AI bubble and am wondering if there would be a huge difference in my Unraid performance if I switched my write cache from an NVME to a SATA SSD. I have both here and no real use for the SATA SSD otherwise. This is just a file storage and media server for the house, nothing super complex, no VMs etc being used. More knowledgeable and experienced opinions appreciated, thanks.
