  1. I added the Homepage docker which is stored in \\server\\cache\appdata. But anytime I try to edit any of the yaml files I get Save Failed

Please check whether if this file is opened in another program.

I don't see it open anywhere.

I am also running Dashy and can edit the yaml files fine in that docker folder.

  2. So I wanted to test this out - https://www.zabbix.com/download_appliance#64

Zabbix appliance and installation CD versions are based on AlmaLinux 8 (x86_64).

    - Downloaded the KVM, QEMU (.qcow2) file.

    - unzipped the tar.gz file

    - then unzipped the .tar file

    - copied the qcow2 file to my domains folder on my server

    - Setup a new Linux VM with the above file

    - All items in the VM are default except for

    VNC screen keeps showing this

    image.thumb.png.aa7d5ab29c917d6ad306d0bb283ca58c.png

FS0: at shell shows no mapping

Does this appliance not work as a VM in unraid?

  3. Looks like I have a bad stick of memory....

    Intel Xeon E5-2658 V3 ES QEYF 2.0Ghz 12Core 30M Equivalent to QEYP

    ARCTIC COOLING Freezer i32

    Ballistix Sport LT 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200) *2

    ASRock X99 Extreme3 LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

So do I replace the bad stick with same stick or upgrade the two channels with (2*16)? which would bump me to 48gb ram.

    Board supports:

    Number of Memory Slots4x288pin (DDR4)

    Memory StandardDDR4 3000+(OC) / 2933+(OC) / 2800(OC) / 2400(OC) / 2133 / 1866 / 1600 / 1333 / 1066

    Maximum Memory Supported64GB

    Channel Supported Quad Channel

    Current Memory specs:

    Capacity     16GB (2 x 8GB)
    Speed     DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200)
    CAS Latency     16
    Timing     16-16-16
    Voltage     1.20V
    ECC     No
    Buffered/Registered     Unbuffered

Do the speed/CAS/Timiing/Voltage need to match the other pair if I did the 2*16?

  4. I've recently started having odd system issues. No big changes on my system that I can think of. Usually is what happens is I can't get to the web gui, I attach a monitor to it and nothing on the screen so then I just restart it and all seems good for a day or two. Recently I started testing graylog on a different device for this purpose along with others.

This is the error I see in the log on my graylog server....

I am running memtest right now as that seemed to be the starting point. Anything else?

  5. I have been troubleshooting other issues but saw this pop up recently...

Trying to figure out what drive is having an issue.

  6. Docker won't start keep getting

Where do I need to run dpkg --configure -a' from?

  7. Ok so I did a export of a db of mine called bookstackapp. I exported it as databases.sql

Then I made some changes to the db by removing data.

    My export is at mnt/cache/appdata/backup/databases.sql

Now I want to restore this test db but the commands don't seem to be working.

    If I run the following

    docker exec -t MariaDB-Official sh -c `exec mariadb -uroot -ppassword` bookstackapp  < /mnt/cache/appdata/backup/databases.sql

     I get
    bash: exec: mariadb: not found
    sh: 1: bookstackapp: not found

  8. Thinking of self hosting my image gallery instead of paying for Smugmug.

    Some thoughts on requirements:

    -          Needs to be similar to smugmug

    -          I really only use basics of it

    -          I do like how you can download a whole folder as a zip file if needed

    -          Like the share / hide feature that is available in Smugmug

    -          Security is a concern if I am sharing this with family members. Will it require wireguard or something else?

    -          IOS app req’d to view it similar to Smugmug for family members, be able to upload photos from Iphone app as well.

Any thoughts on what Unraid has to offer that might work for this?

  9. Looking for some thoughts/ideas on the following

    Phase 1

    -          Backup Iphone pics/videos to unraid server over wireless / cellular

    -          Folder structure – Year, month, day

    -          Sync to Spare PC

    -          1st of each month back up to External USB Drive

    -          Once items are sync’d to Unraid server and verified delete off of iphone (Manually, or delete after so many days)

    -          Which IOS app would work best for this? Free first if available or lifetime subscription. Resilio Sync, Photosync, Synthing, Nextcloud, etc

    -          Security is important

    -          Each iphone would have it’s own backup folder \\member1\backup\iphone\year\month\day

    -          Upload in original quality

    image.png.9d117db30109ca8d419ac6630871aaf2.png

    Phase 2

    -          Be able to download photos if needed back to iphone.

    -          Any way to download by folder? Vs selecting each single photo

    -          Would like to use same IOS app as in Phase 1 if possible

  10. Ouch latest update seems to have wiped out everything I had.

I saw mention that there were back up files but those were empty also.

Any recommendations on this moving forward so we don't lose all data.

Also when I went to click on the Web gui it went to the "Create your admin account" asking for username, password, repeat password.

  11. How can I roll back to a different version since Version 1.30.0.6486 seems to have issues with TrueHD audio.

I was seeing the following errors

[Req#337a4/Transcode/twm3mug6z33n7b5eaab7ttlx/7cc73c99-4ddd-46ae-a2f5-eab7ac3f2736] Error while decoding stream #0:1: No space left on device

    error 121 in the syslog

    Quick reads say that

Plex Media Server 1.30.x and 1.31.x have a bug transcoding TrueHD audio.

If you are on one of those releases, roll back to 1.29.2 or don't transcode TrueHD audio.

  12.

    Ok I have this setup.

Then I went to the Unraid terminal and put in the below with my root password.

docker exec -it MariaDB-Official mariadb -u root -p'your_root_password' returns...

ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

****The above is fixed with for now just using a simple password.

I am also now trying to use Adminer to connect to this db but keep getting.....

Access denied for user 'root'@'172.17.0.1' (using password: YES)

  13. My current system isn't booting back up after I powered it down.

    Tested so far:

This PS in another setup and that worked fine.

Took the PS out of the other system and no luck on the below system.

No smell, no lights, no power, etc

Any way to tell if it is the MB or CPU that is bad? I don't have a matching MB or CPU to test in the below setup.

  14. Thinking of adding a Video card to my current setup to pass through to my Windows 10 VM.

    Motherboard  - ASRock X99 Extreme3 LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

    Powersupply - CORSAIR CX-M series CX600M 600W 80 PLUS BRONZE Active PFC ATX12V & EPS12V Modular Power Supply

    $300 price rage

For photoediting software and Makemkv which can make use of GPU when converting.

I might be able to just use the following from my old HTPC I dont really use anymore.

    2048MB ATI AMD Radeon R7 200 Series

Or would it better to buy something else?
