  1. It's TRIM with the HP controller. I have a similar problem, running it will completely fuck up my server, trying to get a process list via ps, or top will just hang, and eventually the server will just stop responding to just about everything. it won't reboot itself, and requires a manual reset via the BMC or by pushing the power button. I managed to catch a kernel panic about "btrfs unable to handle kernel NULL pointer" the last time I ran it, but I was an idiot and forgot to save the full syslog output before I rebooted it. As you can imagine, I'm not real keen on running it again
  2. I went to update a few plugins today and my web management page was timed out as well. After a reboot, it still won't come up, and now my array won't mount Edit: I should clarify. It's not a timeout, I get a "Page sent no data" error in my browser.
  3. The general consensus in a thread over at another popular forum I frequent is that we won't see prices come back down until Q1 of 2012.
  4. sent in a WD20EARS Green drive. According to the website, my new WD2002FAEX (Caviar Black) drive will show up here tomorrow!
  5. Hey all I'm currently running Unraid 4.6 with a custom compiled image due to the need for the 3w-9xxx driver. I have a 3ware 8506-8 PCI-X card that uses it. From what I'm seeing, the 3w-9xxx driver is now included in 5.0? can anyone confirm this? Second, If the driver is included, I'm thinking of upgrading to 5.0, The instructions say I should upgrade to 4.7 before upgrading to the 5.0 beta. How important is this? I'll have to roll my own 4.7 bzimage to do so, and would really prefer not to, as I'll need to reinstall slackware on a virtual machine to do so. (lost the last image in a hard drive crash) Finally, with the changes to the password files in 5.0, would it still be possible to boot the system with a 4.6 or 4.7 image? Or would I need to copy over the old password files to boot an older image? Thanks in advance.
