  1. It would be good if the plus key supported 10 drives.
  2. Which brand/model USB flash drive are Limetech currently using for their servers? I have used Lexar Firefly drives in the past but these are now obsolete so I would like to use the exact same drives as Limetech to ensure 100% compatibility. The FAQ seems to be outdated with regards to good/bad usb drives.
  3. This is what happened to me. I spent nearly 2 hours putting in another hard drive and re-cabling and then Tom said it was a mistake. This upset me and I had a rant about the RC's going backwards which wasn't very constructive and was done in haste. I upset Tom and he offered a refund which I took, in hindsight I wish had not reacted the way I did. That was certainly very generous of Tom. Now all you need to do is buy a Pro key and you can reconstitute your system without any issue That's what I should have done in the first place. Too late now.

  5. I'm looking at the parts in your signature, you seem to have zero parts that are even affected by the current issues. What are you even complaining about? At least state your problems before going on a rant so something can be done about them. It seems to me like you just prefer Netflix over having to manage your own server. That's not unRAIDs fault at all. I have 2 very large unRAID servers that contain some "problem" parts with 5.0, and they cost me nearly 2 grand (not even including the whopping 86TB in hard drives). I am happy 5.0 did not go final before these issues were fixed, if it did i'd feel like people with these parts were given up on. For everyone else, 5.0 is working PERFECTLY! So what's your problem, other than you prefer Netflix to a physical server? It really ticks me off when people who seem to have 0 issues just come on here to complain that it's not "final" yet. Actually it's comments like this that are my problem, I have a life and I don't want to spend it on these forums hoping for an update to fix my minor issues (obviously not major problems like yours). Tom has refunded my money so I will complain no more.
  6. These RC candidates seem to be going backwards, to many kernel changes etc. and are more like beta releases. I really regret buying this product. I find I'm using netflix far more than my unraid server.
  7. LOL yep that snuck through, it will be corrected in next release. Explanation: this release -rc13 had all the code in place to support "cache pool", that is, you can assign a storage device (HDD or SDD) to either the "array" or to the "pool". In addition you could configure the "pool" to use btrfs as the file system. So if you want, you could assign all disks to array, or all disks to pool or some combination of both. Unfortunately, this resulted in quite a few changes to the webGui which broke a number of plugins, particularly Simple Features. So I've ripped all that out until I can coordinate with plugin authors. This was an "executive decision" that delayed the release by at least a week. You aren't going to remove the 6th data drive are you? I hope not, I've just spent the last 2 hours putting a new drive into my server and neatly arranging all of the cabling.
  8. Oh good. I must have missed his comment when he said that.
  9. Has this release added an additional data drive to the PLUS version? I now have the option for 1 Parity, 6 Data and 1 Cache drive.
  10. No nothing has changed. I don't use a cache drive or mover script and I haven't copied any files to the array for about 6 months. The only thing I did was shutdown and reboot the server.
  11. I'm reading it from the main GUI and windows. I've also tried to copy files to them and I get a message saying that the disk is full.
  12. Hi, I am currently running v5.0 R12a and it has been running really well. I have come across a problem with two of the disks in my array reporting zero space available when I know there should be approx 170GB on one and over 70GB on the other. It was reading the correct values and then after a reboot they now read zero. How do I correct this?
  13. Another "plain vanilla" user here. Do you have anything running to make your 5x server go to sleep X amount of inactivity? No, it's always on. However, it only draws ~ 20W with all drives spun down Did anyone else here have any success putting their 5x systems to S3 sleep automatically after a specified amount of inactivity? I do this today in 4.7 using the S3 sleep script. Just wondering if this is still possible with 5x. It works on my system running 5.0 R12a and simple features
  14. OOOooooOOOooo a release on my Birthday. Thanks for the Present Tom! How pathetic is this person?? About as pathetic as you for feeling the need to make fun of someone. +1
