  1. Never mind. I am a dork. I was trying to trouble shoot why my nvidia card wasn't working and i followed some post that had me put acpi=off in the syslinux.cfg but I never rebooted it and it was a over a month ago. That was a fun afternoon. Someone pointed me in the right direction with a different suggestion on Discord and then it hit me!

    You can delete.

  2. Never mind. I am a dork. I looked at the logs and it looked like it was downloading the same files again this morning but it was yesterday and I saw it connected this morning and didn't have anything to download. I thought yesterdays downloads were todays date but they weren't....... DOH!

  3. Thanks for this. I just installed it this week and is working great.

Quick question, does it download the whole library each time or does it only download the latest after the first download? I did see a recent settings. I am wondering if I need to use that if it downloads the whole library each time.

    Thanks!

Note, for BIOS not post those HBA, usually you can enable it in BIOS, search "storage OpROM" and enable it, but actually you don't need enable it, this just make longer post time.

I’m just so used to seeing it on my old server and like I said, I am rusty and don’t remember what I set in the bios a decade ago. 😹 thanks for the info! Your advice made me think harder and try more things and was like I know I have other cables.

If either PCIe card not recognize, it likely mobo or PCIe slot problem. Pls try other PCIe slot ( Unraid can boot up without GPU )

Does LSI HBA heatsink heatup ? ( very hot is normal )

Ok, this was completely my fault and I feel stupid. I tried switching slots didn't solve the problem. Heatsink was getting hot.

This whole time I was worried there was a chance I was using the wrong breakout cables. I also switched cases which required a different cable from the card. I knew I had 2 different kind of breakout cables and remembered I knew I had the correct ones that came with my card I just bought 2 months ago but couldn't find them.

That solved it but I thought I would still see the card scan for drives at boot. Of course I never booted before with 0 drives attached it.

Walking slowly back to my stupid corner.

    Thanks for the help though!

I was thinking of trying that. I probably need to boot with GUI first and fix my network. I had 2 ncis bound with my last motherboard. Thanks for the suggestion.

  7. I am sure it is a bios setting somewhere but I haven't found it yet. I haven't changed out my MB for 10 years so I am rusty.

When booting up I am not seeing the cards config where they scan for drives or I can enter config. The cards light up at boot so I know they are getting power.

Any advice would be helpful, like I said, I am rusty.

    Thanks!

So I installed the plugin, and its set to on demand, but the driver still shows no driver. I have an AMD FX-9590, no overclock

Update: Nevermind, I found I needed to change settings in the Bios. The no driver was throwing me off, should say check bios settings. but all good now. Thanks!

What did you change in your bios? I would like to fix this for my  AMD FX™-6300.

    Thanks

Have you followed any of the steps documented here in the online documentation accessible via the ‘Manual’ link at the bottom of the Unraid GUI?

the diagnostics seem to be after a reboot so we cannot give any feedback on what might have caused this.  The SMART information for the drive looks OK so that tends to suggest that something external to the drive happened.

xfs_repair -L fixed it. first time this has happened, wasn't sure what to do. Sorry. If it happens again, I will grab the logs before a reboot.

    Thanks.

After doing some searching, I was just about run XFS_repair. I will report back.

  11. It probably has nothing to do with 6.7 but I know thats when it started. All the rc's were fine. I reboot and it runs fine for another week.

I bought another device to replace this one of it is going bad.

I was able to grab the log file before shutting down the system. I've been meaning to post about it just having had the chance to grab the log before a reboot.

at 1:51am this started flooding my logs.

I might try it out. Honestly I just love the GUI for unifi. But I don't feel like expending money for a rack mount USG. I'm waiting for a refresh in the current USG lineup

Yea, I love the interface as well but tired of waiting for them to refresh the lineup. It's temping to get a Dream Machine if I could ever catch it while it's in stock but it's not really what I want.

I do understand the delay. They are writing a new OS for it and the DM is the guinea pig for it.

Did you set up elasticsearch? It is are mandatory to get this working. You should also set up redis.

You also need to read the Readme on github for specific setup needed on unraid to get it working. You have to use the 5.6.x branch of elasticsearch

You will not get a webgui until elasticsearch is working.

Thanks for the info! I was looking at the GitHub site yesterday to find info but was also doing a million other things and missed it.

    Sorry about that and thanks!

The WebGUI parameter isn't respecting that I changed it from the default. I changed it from 8080 to 8082, but when I launch WebGUI from the docker icon it still takes me to 8080.

Seeing the same thing. Did you get anything to load when you manually went to 8082? I just get a white screen in Safari. Chrome give me a page not working 500 error.
