  1. Yes I am referring to docker. Thank you for clearing that up for me, I'll post in the other forum.
  2. Hey there, I have been using transmission for a while now and under Unraid 5 I had no issue with having an incomplete folder on my cache disk and once the downloads were done they would transfer to my media share. I upgraded to 6 and now an incomplete folder is created in the downloads folder but I cant isolate it to the cache drive. My setttings are as follows; config - /mnt/user/appdata/Transmission - set to cache only downloads - /mnt/user/Video/Completed/ - the incomplete folder is created in this folder I have tried using Transmission Remote GUI and go to Tools\ Tranmission options and the incomplete directory is set to /downloads/incomplete. I have tried setting it to /mnt/user/Incomplete (setting Incomplete to cache only) and get an error. Also when the files do download with the default locations when I try to move or delete a file I get this message; "You require permission from Unix User\nobody to make changes to this file" Ideas??
  3. PM me pls if u sell it in parts, id love to have that case
  4. so far running smooth with speeds on transmission topping off at 420kb/s. Going to try adding my proxy to transmission later today. DNS does not work on this router either. tried putting in my own and got nothing, stayed on the rogers ones.
  5. RT-N12 Tomato build5x-116-EN shibby rogers router is http://www.hitrontech.com/en/cable_detail.php?id=64
  6. so i got it all to work up until blocking the ports on my main router so that vpn ports are only open. I have a rogers modem/ router and i cant find the option anywhere. im getting about 330 kb/s downloads in transmission but cpu usage isnt showing on my tomato router. is there a way to turn it on?
  7. unevent what else do i have to do on my end so we can continue with the set up??
  8. fixed the duplicate and transmission location. I have no idea about transmission so ill just switch the two cables.
  9. i was eth0 (xx.1.11) to be on my main router and eth1 (xx.1.2) to be on my vpn go.zip
  10. I added the code to the end of my go script but if i run ifconfig eth1 does not show up. It does show up when in the syslog when the machine boots.
  11. Got it working finally. Put in the new card and boots great. now back to setting up this second card to run only my transmission traffic.
  12. Just did a basic speed test using speedtest.com, not the best i know but i was tight on time and wanted a rough idea. For future testing i can change the method if it will yield better results. i know speedtest.com sometimes gives weird results cause ISPs speed up the connection to make it look more favourable. I hit 120 mbps once running to the server near my house without vpn. load of shit definitely as im on a 35 mbps package (if i said that wrong before my bad, just checked the bill to make sure) True about the logs but im going to give this a try. Ill be doing a comparison of HMA and TorG later in the week.
  13. I have HMA and am subscribed with them till September but I just got the TorGuard after seeing more law suits coming out where HMA released client logs and info. I did some initial speed testing myself with a few different variations. Unfortunately this was through a macbook pro and I wasnt able to test on my main rig. But i dont think this will influence the results too much. I dont have any screen shots from my router. Im running tomato on the Asus RT-N12 1) Difference between a US server and a server in Sweden 2) 3 combinations - vpn only, proxy only, vpn and proxy More to come
  14. im looking to go as fast as possbile. without vpn i can saturate my connection to 4.6 MB/s (not mbps), this is seen in transmission and this is with new files with a lot of peers. On average when im getting stuff its sitting around 300-500 kb, this is with older files with less peers. In all honesty about 1.5 MB/s - 2 MB/s will be more then adequate.
  15. im still digging into this more now but do u have any good links off the top of ur head about pc builds that are used specifically for VPN? i want to read up more on it
  16. will do. I started a seperate forum about the TP card issue, the general consensus was to replace the TP for an Intel card. It ended up costing me 15 dollars more but if it works on the first boot I wont complain about it at all. Wont be near the server till tuesday but i will post back once its all work. The final step approaches now lol
  17. picked up an intel card yesterday but wont be near the server till tuesday night. will update once i get it popped into the system
  18. hey guys, so i picked up one of these last week to add into my tower. i want to separate my torrent traffic through a second eth port but my system wont even boot when this card is in. Has anyone got one of these working? or any suggestions where to look first?
  19. k i have fixed both my transmission and got the router working. 1) to fix the transmission I had to reinstall but noticed that there was a random folder "QDMZ-3c" with a settings file in it. i couldnt delete it at first but i reset the permissions on my unraid and then managed to delete the file. went back to normal after this. 2) bricked one router but got it replaced the next day and now its working, just finished doing speed comparisions of VPN with/out proxy speeds for usa and sweden, going to check a few more places next week to see where the best speed is.
  20. when i try to install i get this. I got the second router running with tomato again and the vpn works fine now. Ive put it aside for the time being. i still cant get a connection with tranmission.
