  1. It's not that. They were named Drive C and the missing one was drive_c but even renaming the "missing" one from the unraid server to DriveC didn't change anything. The missing folders were made from a windows box across the network as I've done before.
  2. Running current Unraid. I moved a ton of content from a PC i'm looking to reload to my unraid server. I can see the folders i created during the backup on the unraid server itself (gui and gui command prompt). I can not see them from either Windows box when browsing to the share? Any idea how to rectify this?
  3. Appreciate the info so far. Best I can tell what I wrote for the CPU is what UnRAID reported. Either way, pretty sure it's a Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 Conroe Dual-Core 2.13 GHz. So it's around 1200 passmarks. I'll do some pondering and see what I can come up with.
  4. Currently have : E210882 Motherboard Core 2 celeron 6390 2x 1gb ram 4x2tb drives 2x 3tb drives Dynex 400w psu I can get the following for $110 from Newegg as a combo. (I'm too out of practice to know what goes together these days) AMD A6-5400K 3.6GHz Dual Core, Asus A68HM-K FM2+ mATX Motherboard, G.Skill 8GB 1600 RAM All I use this for is Plex and backups from our PC's. Running current UnRAID. Would there be any significant improvement by upgrading like this? What improvement? What about just upgrading to 4 Gigs of RAM, any use there? Thanks all in advance for the time. Aaron
  5. And that sir is why you get the big bucks. Problem solved. Many thanks.
  6. I realize that, but haven't found any memory lately. It had been booting in just fine, so though it may be better with more it seems unlikely that is the source of the Kernel Panic isn't it? Also, ran a chkdsk on the thumb drive and it's all reporting fine.

  8. I see that. Perhaps I wasn't clear in the prior post. I can' boot into the Unraid OS. I can't get log files, I can't get SMART reports. I'm on Unraid 6.2 I believe to add that information. I can't use any plugins as I can't boot to the OS. I use Docker, Plex, and some newer (to me at least) plugin finder/helper plugin. I don't recall the name of it. I'm not trying to be Snarky, so please don't take it that way. Thank you.
  9. So my latest issue is a Kernel Panic. I was seeing weird ATA5 errors in the log. Rebooted. It never came up. Checked it and Kernel Panic. No hardware changes made right before it. I've done each of the following individually. removed 1 add in SATA card (which removed its drives as well) removed the other add in SATA card (which removed its drives as well) removed each hard drive not on an external card. memtest overnight with 0 errors tried booting to safe mode moved the USB drive to a different slot. Next suggestions?
  10. All, I think I'm back up and running good here. Thank you for the assistance.
  11. Thank you to both of you. I'll let you know how it works out.
  12. Johnnie, Thanks for the info. I'll hold off a moment more just to see what Frank throws out, but hopefully it's the same.
  13. Correct on both assumptions on Disk1 and Parity2. Diagnostics added. I've checked all connections, they are all secure. I'm pretty sure the drive has just flaked out. Thanks for the assistance. tower-diagnostics-20161030-1402.zip
  14. Stopping here before I do anything to ensure I don't screw this up worse than it is. Just upgraded my Array with a bunch of 2TB drives. So I had a 3TB Parity, 3TB Data and 5x2TB data for a 13TB array. Upgraded to 6.2 and decided I wanted to run Dual Parity for additional protection as I don't use any other form of backup (yes, I know). So I pulled all content off the 3TB Data drive and moved it to be an additional cache drive. I didn't realize that Unraid didn't consider this a formal downsize so it currently considers this disk missing. Then to compound matters one of the 2TB drives has failed. I'll attach the picture here for help explaining. So I need to do 2 things. I don't have another 2TB drive I can use to replace the failed one. What can I do to move all the content off the failed drive? Can I just putty into Unraid, browse over to it and move content to other drives, then when everything is off of it somehow reset the Unraid configuration so it's not looking for the missing Disk1 (3TB) and Disk 6 (2TB)? I'll be waiting here for guidance so I don't screw anything more up.
  15. Does this sound like the same issue? Not trying to hijack threads, but I came here with a very similar problem with a brand new Plex install from yesterday.
