  1. Hi guys I have narrowed my case selection down to Limetech d-316M server case (I am open to other options if need be). I like the case for its style and it would fit it my rack no problem (av rack so I dont have computer server depth option). I like the access to the 2.5 drives in middle so I can do easy swap for cache drives if need be. How loud is the case, can I keep it real quiet with better fan selection and quiet PSU? I am plan on doing the following. Downloading (150 meg download internet connection), would like to max this out and be able to do rar repair and unpacking as fast as possible. Also plan on plex server hosting total of 10 connections most likely not all at same time but would like to know I can at least run 5-6 at the same time. My collection is all large m2ts files (20-40 gig each) I would like to go with a xeon 6-8 core processor if possible and preferably have a setup where I can add a second if I need to. So motherboard requirements would be micro atx that would fit the case and dual processor capable. I will run this machine headless but have conflicting answers about ipmi. Ram I am thinking 2 x 16 gig sticks ecc. Drives will be a few (undecided) drives but would like to run ssd for cache to speed up download and unraring and move to parity drive late at night. Dont know if 2 would be beneficial over one but it is an option. I will be building this over a few months so money isnt really an object (within reason). I can go 500-700 on processor and buy a second down the road if need be. I cant buy a 2300 xeon. not happening. For this setup would like your opinions on motherboards and processors. I looked at one of the supermicro (talked about in these forums) with 14 sata on board but it will not fit in case, different form factor. Thanks for any help and sorry to bother you with these questions but I looked thru alot of posts and most are systems designed for low cpu use. I would like something really "balls to the wall" (within reason)
